Does it though? You can buy balanced cables for cheap and quality DI boxes from brands like Palmer for cheap too. Certainly much cheaper than "upgrading" to a model with built-in balanced outs. Besides, unless you're touring and plugging into long cable runs, then you don't need balanced anything. And why does it NEED 7 more buttons? You can buy extra footswitches, balanced cables, DI boxes, etc. and it'd still be MUCH cheaper than the flagship units that have those features. Many guitarists already have those things.
@@Nightbreed82 How long you been doing this? Good point tho... if you wanted those things, you'd get a GT1000... which begs the question... why not? You can get one used for $200 more. But seriously, why not balanced out? I have a GT-1 for backup, but I have never used it:) LOL. If you are going to get this, why not the GT-1?
@@batmandeltaforce 28 years. You've missed my point entirely, or rather, intentionally not acknowledged it because you know I've made a great point. Soon the GX-100 will be on the used market just like your precious GT1000, so your theory of a used GT1000 being only $200 more doesn't hold water. And those items I mentioned could be had for way less than $200, especially if you buy used. So no, I would NOT get the GT1000. As for the GT-1, it's not even in the same family as the GX-100 or GT-1000 and sounds inferior. Not to mention, the build quality is inferior to the more expensive units and it has even less features. Face it, the GX-100 sounds excellent and is priced very well at $600 new. You're just another salty GT-1000 fanboy that can't come to grips with the fact that the GX-100 has got it where it counts and the pros vastly out-weigh the cons. At the end of the day, the "negatives" of the GX-100 just don't matter very much. Buy some quality inexpensive balanced cables and stop tap-dancing to your atmospheric sh00gaze trash. Problem solved, you're welcome. How long have YOU been doing this?
