Boss ME-80 Button Repair 

Well I suggest you ream the manual and make sure all setting are right before you try to replace that switch. Replacing a switch is not that hard. But you don't want to do soldering and that then find out that was not the problem.

I don't have the unit anymore but maybe it could be a driver issue. I can't remember if the me-80 is USB class compliant.

You can try ebay. I wish I had the part number but, some times you have to look and picture and measurements and guess sadly

Well I figured the button was bad since it was not even making a clicking noise anymore. Not even after I took it off the board.

Pardon the misunderstanding but my question was more about if you think that if my unit sounds a bit dirty even while playing with the cleanest tones/patches, that could be due to a lot of dust inside? And if so, do you think it's a good idea to blow some compressed air into it through the input holes? Thanks for your answer!

@derekk.1750 okay, of you hear static or noise especially when moving knobs, the simplest approach is Deoxit D5. Is an electronics cleaner. Start with that. Compressed air might not do the trick. You might have to open the pedal board so you can really spray it well. Spray all the knobs inside and move them back and forward.

​@@descargamusicalnyI messed the power input jack by stepping on the barrel of the powered supply and I believe a piece of plastic or something is preventing my unit to properly connect to the powered now. Do you think I can do this myself? Or should I take it to the work shop?

Well if the tactile switch needs replacing then is basically the same procedure but, you need to open up the unit and measure with a caliper the switch. Check if it is a 2 pin or a 4 pin, good luck!

Just bought the me70 and the 4th switch also isn't working. Did you ever fix yours

I don't have the unit anymore, what you can do is open it up and measure the tactile switch for that button. You will need a caliper. Also not if its a 4 pin or a 2 pin. Good luck
