RobCrowley85 I don’t know if you’ve played the KOF series, but in CVS they nerfed the fuck out of the SNK characters. Examples of this is Kyo. Also Haomaru, he was so fucking slow. But to be fair SNK for some reason screwed up the charge characters. I was always able to charge a Sonic Boom or Flash Kick by holding diagonally down back and I can’t do that in this game. And because of that I can’t do Guile, Chun Li or Vega’s super.

SNK needs to make their games harder then just for me because, haven't had any trouble still even to this sadly.

Athena is actually the lowest on the tier list of all the bosses. Arremer is far worse, he's basically a prototype Magaki.

SNK has had so many overly cheap bosses. A few can be summed up as: "The boss can just chose to win"

These where some of the fairer bosses SNK has designed. Goenitz kinda showcased some of the dirt the older ones have, but he was still relatively easy compared to the worse ones. Where talking Projectile spamming and busted enough supermoves to fit into a Tohou game.

The boss of KOF XI's makes you feel like you are playing a bullet hell game with all the projectile attacks you have to dodge. Some of it are invisible!

SNK is infamous for how hard their single player is. Especially their bosses. No Capcom fighter has really reached the heights of SNK's bosses. Every single King of Fighters ends with a boss that is an absolute nightmare (14 being the easiest, but only on normal difficulty. Verse is hell on max difficulty). Just having a ridiculous boss in a fighting game has even been dubbed "SNK Boss Syndrome". The bosses here in SvC are relatively tame by comparison. KOFXI's boss was basically a bullet hell fight, Rugal was designed to beat any kind of attack you can do, and even back in Fatal Fury, Geese was so ridiculous most unedited longplays of FF's single player consists mostly of attempts to beat him as he takes half your health with his normal projectile, and his counter attack works on just regular jumps. SNK bosses aren't just a hard thing at the end of Arcade mode. Beating them is designed to be worth bragging rights. There's no damn way Max could handle a KOF/SNK boss on maximum difficulty. If this was his reaction to SvC Chaos, the average KOF boss would eat him alive.

The Gaming Mole: Brad_Ry Athena and Red Arremer only let you try to beat them one, and if you lose, you have to start all over again.

To fight Athena you must not lose any round and you must not kill any opponents with block damage. But, if you lose round you can lose match, use continue and start from the beginning of the battle, not from the beginning of the game. And whatever you do in boss battle against S.Mr. Karate / S. Akuma (and no matter how many time you lost to them) you will get to fight Athena anyway.

And this the reason, SNK players think Capcom is soft. We've played against cheap/hard bosses, middle bosses all the time. Geese? Just the weakest, try defeating Krauser, Omega Rugal, Goenitz, Krizalid, Zero and Igniz. in level 6, for Capcom players only.
