I was definitely surprised to see a Boss/EVH collab since Eddie was always an MXR guy but this definitely looks like a really interesting pedal and sounds killer as well
Just a correction - the SDE 3000D is two SDE 3000’s in one pedal like the SDE 3000EVH, it’s just that the EVH version has extra routing options to run Eddies wet/dry/wet setup using 3 amps
I am definitely sold on this one! This rig configuration sounds so amazing but it's no surprise that it comes from Eddie's tinkering with how to get bigger and better tones. I must mention that the tone on that Kramer is absolutely addicting! Dagan rocks! Plays with such finesse! Dagan can you please tell me what Kramer you are using? What pick up is that on the bridge? I love the tone on this guitar.
There's a Steve Vai video where he says that Roland took off his 2 SDE-3000 he had since the '80s to study and copy them. Along the ones that Eddie had these were the basis for this. Then Roland/Boss called Pete Thorn to make the Eddie presets (there's another video of Pete explaining this).
Excellent!!! My 12 string Ukelele will sound amzing through one of these - just think of all the Emerson Lake and Palmer songs I can cover! Hahahaha Just kidding. My birthday's coming up soon - guess what I'm getting? ;-)
I am definitely digging that neck-thru looking Kramer. I prefer the Baretta shortie headstock with the original logo. The unpainted body is badass. I always thought a neck-thru Baretta Vintage with the tilted pickup would be bad as fk with stringers like a BC Rich Mockingbird.
So I have a EVH stealth a Friedman jj jr and a Victory Kraken vx half stacks I’m using a strymon volante in stereo loops dry center but this looks easier and better for heavy music?
It’s cool I guess..not my cup of tea just like EVH ..never really impressed me but even so still a great video as always and mostly watched it just for the support 🤟
