Thank you! This was extremely helpful and was able to figure this out, please do more videos. I have the Boss VE - 20 for many years and only used one setting, for all performances for many years. I really wanted the delay etherical effects and recently i got BOSS VE-500 the second pedal i have ever owned, and this one feels like a big learning curve.
thanks for a simple and easy tutorial. I have connected a double switch with a trs jack to the ctl1/2 in order to activate on or off effects 1 & 2 (or 4 and 4, or anything else fxwise) . does not take much space on the pedalboard and deeply enhance the use of the VE-500 ;)
But I just change it to a boss FS-7. I had a few issue with the Mosky... now I changed the config this way: FS7 moves patches up and down (B=Pat+, A=Pat-). then the ve500 switches are used for FX1 FX2 and Harm - just manual mode and that works fine for me. I also have limited the number of patches at 6 at the moment, dont need more than 6, and this patch number limite is quite awesome, particularly when you play live :)
Right on man!! Glad to hear you're getting into a VE-500. Hit me up if you wanna talk shop on it...Im always available to help!!! Post some vids to too so we can compare notes!
@@JustAlliance If I will be able, I will make a video! I have a ton of ideas, like using harmony channels in "double" in order to create parallel distortion like often is done in studio mixing! I'm waiting for Your video about creating multiple effects chain! Please go on! 💪
So...the INIT User section for setting individual notes is stumping me. It seems it has a warble and I cant seem to find correct harmonies...is this the way this machine is?
Thank you for the great videos! they're extremely helpful! I have a question that hopefully you might be able to answer: When I go in to the delay menu just the way you did- the middle knob which says "bpm" on your device and measures note length on my device for some reason the same knob is set on as "time" and measures milliseconds instead. Do you happen to know why that is and how can I configure bpm the way you do? I couldn't find that option on the delay menu. Thanks again :)
Hi Nir!! Thanks for the kind words!! Take your 'time' knob and keep turning it to the right past (I believe) 999 milliseconds...then you will have the dedicated time options. Quarter...eighth....etc. Let me know if this works for ya!!!
Question! How do you set the VE500 to run just the effect and not the original input? I'm trying to formant shift my voice to -3 and only have that effect play on top of enhance and Compressor. I can't figure out how to jist get the formant shift voice to work without hearing my regular voice in it.
BOSS has always made killer effects, so to have a multi fx unit dedicated to the voice and at a softer price point than a larger unit was a win/win. Once the basic mechanics are under your hands...its super easy to navigate and make creative choices tailor made for a performance.
can you walk us through the electric pitch function i want it to be noticed more like to slice my voice more like a waves tune tyype instead of some smooth pitch correction
and myy peeeps who use the autotune or use autotune just pick a good beat that isnt that crowded with a lot of melodies so your voice can stand out more....
