Hi Deb, I heard that you can use a different footswitch pedal for the Boss VE-8, so I bought the Hotone Dual Footswitch Pedal Momentary 2-Way Pedal Foot Switch Controller from Amazon. But when I used it with the Boss VE-8 and set it up the way you instructed, it didn’t work like yours. I did some research and thought it might have something to do with the type of switch-whether it's latched or unlatched. When it's in play mode and I step on it, it doesn't just stop; it stops and deletes everything I recorded, like I'm double-tapping the unit. In the video I saw from you, when you step on it, it just stops without clearing or deleting. Do you know anything about this?

Nice tutorial. Can I use another pedal (boss bd-2 overdrive) with the boss ve 8. Was wondering if I could merge the 2 to get pedals to merge guitar effects of both pedals. Do you think that will be possible? Thanks

Yes, you can. If the overdrive is attached after the VE8 you will have all the effects with VE-8 going through the distortion pedal. If you mount it b4 the VE8 the distortion is running through the VE8. Try it both ways.

Hi Deb, are you limited to how many layers or overdubs you can use for a loop track on the VE-8 and can you store the loops track? I believe you can edit the individual overlays (rather than recut the entire loop) and store individual loop tracks on the RC-30. Appreciate that you have got experience with both pedals and I’m my learning curve feels very steep atm. 😂 TIA
