The Celtics offense is a nice system filled with clever and effective set plays implemented by Head Coach Brad Stevens. This gets players such as Avery Bradley, Isaiah Thomas, and Kelly Olynyk good shots. NBA

This is great stuff. Can't wait for the defensive video. They are 2nd in Def. Rtg, without a real rim protector, that's insane.

It's too bad Sullinger missed them both. Other than that Great stuff, Coach! Keep it up! Watched by a common NBA fan from Russia.

Great video, thanks! Could you do a sixers breakdown? It would be interesting to see if their whole offence is broken, or they just don't have the personel.

Celtics are fun to watch, and they place a lot of energy on defense too!

I understand what you're saying about the great sets not resulting in points, but if they actually had some go to scorers the results would obviously be a lot better. Don't discredit the great coaching and sets, they're just missing some go to guys.

8:18 -- true but depends what you mean by huge effect. If your net rating improves by just 2 points per possession, that's already around ~6 extra wins

Nice. Celtics are a good team, they runs some of the best sets in the NBA, I'm just not sure they can really win a championship until they really get one or two marquee players.Same goes to Atlanta. When was the last NBA championship and they did not have at-least 1 Top NBA player?

+MrYoumitube Pistons 2004 did not really have any scoring superstar. But they did have a defensive superstar in Ben Wallace.
@MrYoumitube
@MrYoumitube 8 лет назад
+Tomas Lundström I was thinking about that when I wrote my comment, but I thought the same thing, Ben Wallace was a All-Star and Super defender, and even if you count him out thats is 12 years ago, so the odd's are slim for something like that to happen again. If Celtics get maybe Durant, they will definitely be a top East contender.

+MrYoumitube Rip Hamilton had 50 point games in his career and what not . He was capable of big nights,but Kobe shut him down . So...instead Chauncey killed the Lakers on offense .

+MrYoumitube tbh this team isn't built to win a championship. they're basically a bunch of role players. a great bunch of role players at that. the celtics have expertly stockpiled assets and i think are hoping to get a trade for a superstar or two (similar to the rockets before they got harden)

Is it me or does basketball in general these days seem to have more screen plays? Great series btw.
@coachdaniel8163
@coachdaniel8163 8 лет назад
+MyFamiliar Thanks and I don't know about that. There has always been lots of screening at least in this century. But maybe a bit more since there are less post ups.

Hey Coach, since you mentioned his FT routine, why do you think Sullinger's FT percentage has gotten worse each season? It's gone from 77>74>64>50 over the past 4 seasons!
@coachdaniel8163
@coachdaniel8163 7 лет назад
I have no idea. And in retrospect that motion before the shot isn't a good idea. The fact that he decided to change his routine means he probably lacks confidence from there thinking routine would change his %.

2:49 is a foul play. Moving while setting a screen. Often seen in nba but not called

Interesting to see how many bad screens are set during video, just after mentioned screen of amir johnson, a.davis again moves out of screen. Really bad basketball fundamentals in majority of nba players. Would like to see european week of refereeing in nba, probably players would double up turnovers
