@@SS2Balls the pinstripes are typically brighter and more articulate, which you want on drums 1 & 2 and the spock as you’ll probably have more fast rolls and rimshots you want to cut through the ensemble. The coated heads allow for a more dark, warm timbre so the big hits on 3 and 4 sing more. And blend with the basses/low brass. There’s a common misconception that you have to have the same heads on all drums, but Collin, being a beast quad player, understands that you should match the heads to the tonality you want on the different drums. 🤘

It's wild that on June 28th, the worst part about that opening lick was the double stops. Couple other little diddles here and there, but the sound quality and clarity coupled with the demand is absolutely unreal for early tour.
