The rock opera Preservation of The KinKs, written by Ray Davies in 1973-4 and presented by the Boston Rock Opera in 1998. From the archives of Jurrien Schadron converted to mp4. They also did a complete show of only Preservation Act II in 1993, link is below. GSTK!

Saw this show with some friends! Can’t remember which night we were there. Hanley and the crew were amazing. I’m pretty sure they got Ray involved in the development of the production. Remember reading that somewhere. Great stuff!

I saw the kinks in december,1974. 🇺🇸 binghamton,new york. They played almost 3 hours. They played Preservation,and a collection of various songs from their catalogue🇬🇧🇬🇧

During this period, the Kinks functioned as their own support band. They would start a gig with a selection of their hits, then follow with the concept album show.

A great way to spend last night! Loved it. Shepherds of the Nation was staged really well. Same with He’s Evil. Question: were Flash & Black’s factions pointing at each other as the Evil One? Hard for me to be sure. Loved all the duets Mirror, Where Is Love, Scrapheap City. Fantastic!

Yes, they are pointing at each other... Mr. Black's faction obviously because they find Flash and his men corrupt and loose, Flash's faction because of Black and his supporters are complete rigid and have no sympathy / empathy for people who do not think or act like themselves... At least, that is my interpretation of it, lol.
