YA-aaas! New BoTcast is in and it's on fleek. I mean, we can’t even.
No really, we can’t even talk like this. (We're too old *sobs in a corner*) But hey, we got 21-year-old writer, feminist and actual young adult - Gurmehar Kaur to talk about Young Adult Fiction and we got a lot of nostalgia and recommendations in this one. Enjoy!

I used to read a lot but nowadays I'm just stuck. I can't finish a book I start. I used to love literary fiction but now I find it very boring. I just feel like I'm missing out on something. I can't settle for anything less than perfect which is impossible because nothing is perfect so I just waste my time on the internet and feel guilty about it.

If you ever get disillusioned with YA, just read The Chaos Walking trilogy by Patrick Ness to remind you what this genre is capable of. It's set on a settler planet similar to Earth, and premise is simple. The protagonist has been raised in a world where everyone can hear everyone's thoughts, so there's no privacy, AND no women. Or so he believes. Till he finds a girl in the woods. Lol. Amazing characters, a dog, solid™ plot, mast love story, and one of the most well written villains in the history of villains 👌I feel like I'm grossly underselling this series lol. Speaking of great villains, The Diviners by Libba Bray is also ❤️

Thanks beautiful people...oh caught in the act (beautiful) but episode was beautiful... I love Everything everything book then movie...(Mum I know living in this house gives me a Life but I am not living) Powerful right? It gives us a a notion of no compromise but living and making each day count... experience everything... parents find a way to negotiate life experiences... I like when writings touch on issues the Young are dealing with in society...too many things going wrong nowadays, so a little bit of sensitisation wouldn't kill... and yes sweetheart most of my life lessons comes from fiction. I Loved To kill a Mockingbird...

Am I the only one who finds Clare’s books really awful? City of Bones was based off of a Harry Potter fanfic she wrote and it’s obvious. All the characters are prototypes of other HP characters and she rips off a lot of stuff from Star Wars. Worst part is all her other series follow the same archetypes for the characters without changing much
