Watching you cut your way out of a Barney costume, shirtless, during a Harry Potter episode was not the way I expected gaining the knowledge that we have matching moon tattoos but I guess this is fine.

*Babish :* "I'm here to apologise, Britain." *Proceeds to insult Britain*

“I’ve never heard such a sizzle before,” Babish said calmly.

Finally, now I can add "Babish in a cheerleader's uniform" to the long list of things I didn't expect or wish to discover on the Internet.

"He's not British, but he's Scottish" Oh Babish, you're treading on dangerous ground

"Oh no did I melt my belly?" got real weird real fast, looked like Barney was stroking himself 😂😂😂

As soon as that Barney costume came out, the whole thing turned into a fever dream

Less than 2 minutes in, and he's called Cornwall a city. That's a great start.

I agree with Kenda-er Mermaidman there, the pasties were on a sweets cart so clearly they were an exception to the only savoury rule and were a hand pumpkin pie

Funny episode. Here's an unsolicited, non-chef tip, use Kabocha squash in place of pumpkin. It actually has a more intense pumpkin flavor than an actual pumpkin. I think this was a recommendation from one of your Bon Appetit friends a couple years ago and I've been using Kabocha in all my pumpkin recipes ever since.

Botched is by far my favourite series in the BCU. No fussing over production quality, making it look fancy professional, just everybody in their own element and fooling around and having fun. It's always a joy watching everybody have a blast. And credit where it's due, Brad does an amazing job capturing everything the way he does.

Can we-- Can we just take a minute to appreciate that Andrew's mic was clipped into his chest hair during the Barney segment??

This is, by far, the most unhinged episode yet. And it had a lot of competition.

Botched by Babish is always crazy, but this was chaotic beyond expectation.

This episode was an unhinged masterpiece.

Watching Andrew rub his dino stomach saying "Did I melt my belly?" is hands down the creepiest thing I've seen in a while. And I love it.

I never thought I’d see Harry Potter get fed pasties from a psycho who killed Barney and wore his skin as a trophy.

I never tthought I’d see a Babish bursting from an eviscerated Barney to calmly do a cross section on a pumpkin pastey

I feel like this is how Babish always acts. The voice over just fools us.

And to think he started this channel not showing his face. Now he’s cutting himself out of inflatable Barney costumes with a knife while shirtless.

what in tarnation-

I kept thinking this shoot took place over a couple of days, but I realized that a) no one else's costumes changed, and b) pasties don't take that long to make. This leads me to the conclusion that Babish had several costumes prepared for this episode, none of which were shown to any of the crew beforehand, and all of which were hilarious.

Sweet pumpkin dishes are a very weird concept to me. Here in Australia a) our pumpkins are mostly mottled green/brown/grey b) they are used as a accompaniment to roast dinners and c) the only pureed pumpkin you see is pumpkin soup

I love that this series just does not have rails.

Ive made 2 kinds of pumpkin pasties as a recipe-less American college student. Got an eating pumpkin at the pumpkin patch, and made sweet pasties with pureed pumpkin, cinnamon, nutmeg, and sugar. Then I still had Too Much Pumpkin left over, so I made peas, corn, and ground meat (I had bison) and made savory pasties. Both were awesome and I've never attempted it since

So I just had to pull out my Harry Potter cookbook and I wish I could post a picture of the pumpkin pasties recipe because Babish you did it right the first time based on that. Also the sweet treats witch didn’t have savory foods on her cart.

This episode is an actual masterpiece but also feels like everyone decided to make this as a dare during a drinking game at a Halloween party.

"Botched by Babish" has definitely become one of my favorite series on here. It's so chaotic and hilarious and the Halloween costumes amplified it.

I'm loving the genuine crackhead energy with everyone keeping in the bloopers and behind the scenes stuff. You guys are brilliant.

I really like that you guys have several very different kinds of shows. Don’t bring this mania to the regular Binging and Basics episodes, but keep this energy going. It’s great. It’s like behind the scenes. You get everything.

The “did I melt my belly scene” felt oddly Barnyrotic, and Barney is not a character I’ve ever had nor would ever wish such an involuntary response.

Babish being so concerned about melting his Barney and them immediately stabbing through it… perfection

Im a harry Potter fan myself but even i didn't know pasties had other things besides pumpkin in them. I just assumed since it was pastries that it was sweet and just another form of pumpkin pie.

From the moment I saw how that poor bow was desperately holding onto his hairless head, I have not stopped laughing since. This channel brings me so much joy.

Man i love this style of editing. Mixing the mess ups, the comentaries and showing around! I like the "proffessional cooking show style" but THIS is much more fun and entertaining to watch!

"This is why I failed botany" The folks at The Botanist Gin would be furious if they weren't spending all their time crafting delicious gins for us all to enjoy. I'm sure they would be livid if they weren't too busy focusing on acquiring top-quality ingredients, including 22 hand-foraged botanicals from the Isle of Islay where the gin itself is crafted. And if they weren't organising for tours of their wonderful factory where you yourself can learn what goes in to the bottle, I'm sure they'd be right on the horn telling you how upset they are. Or not, I'm not sure. I'm not a gin drinker.

I absolutely LOVE the unhinged and chaotic energy of this episode btw! I need more!

This episode came right of the rails within minutes and just kept on ploughing through the countryside for the entire runtime. I haven't laughed this had at a Babish video in a while. Loved it.

I love that the botched episodes are more botched than the original.

~Babish is a dinosaur from our imagination, And when he cooks he's what we call an internet sensation, Babish tells us lots of things like how to make some pastry, Kosher salt and tiny whisks, he whips up food that's tasty! Babish uploads videos, whenever we may need them, Babish can be your friend too if you just make-believe him!~ (I wrote this in like 5 minutes so I apologise for the dumb parody and I did get lazy there at the end but I thought it was funny so here u go)

The Honeydukes express (the trolley that sold refreshments on the hogwarts express) wasn't exclusively a sweets trolley, other savoury items were also sold including Roasted Chimera Potato crisps.

I love that he left out an ingredient in a tequila sunrise to finish a botched episode 😂 It's not a sunrise without grenadine

I can't say the same for the Hogwarts Express but the trolleys that go around the non magical trains of England also serve savory items so the Pumpkin Pasties could easily have been a savory item!
