First one against the Panthers to meet the Lightning in the 2nd round. Second one against the Lightning to meet the Panthers in the 2nd round.

So many crazy things about these goals. Both were from Tavares, who was the captain on both teams, and both times he scored in an overtime to break a 1st-round playoff curse of more than a decade for both teams. (23 years for NY, 19 for TOR). Also commentated by Cuthbert both times, and the first time he beat the panthers to face tampa in the 2nd round, whereas the second time it was beating tampa to face florida in the 2nd round. And both in game 6. Just crazy stuff

I noticed that it is the same person who called the goals for John Tavares in 2016 & 2023.

Crazy how it was the same commentator, and also beating a Florida team, just to play another Florida team in the next round.
