I'm a motswana from Botswana. Of all our neighboring countries, Namibia is the only country I feel free traveling to using my car. I don't fear being hijacked or being charged by police for nothing. I must also say they have good roads too.
The ANC apartheids movement in South Africa created Babylon allowing Mafia's taking control of our country! Even within the Police force, all because they removed God's commandments from the statue of our Parliament allowing terrorists to manage our country!! Alcohol and drug abuse controlled by syndicates destroying family lives and the lives of innocent people!!
These are Zambia’s neighbors. I love them both 😍. But I’m more familiar with Namibia coz I went to university there. Great experience!!! I miss the Namibian drinks, Oshitaka and Oshikandela😋
Namibia is very small in the standard of living and carrence, not because im in Namibia but coz I meet lot of people from Botswana and more educated than us.
Namibia is very small and undeveloped with only two universities. Windhoek is the only place where everyone goes, there are no other options, everyone knows everyone's business it's extremely boring. In the North it's literally a village, people wear traditional clothes almost everyday, just like the olden days. No traffic lights, and the roads are gravel. The hospitals are extremely bad beyond measure.
@@IamZulu-8 Please don't exaggerate at all. Namibia is small (actually the population is the one that is small but not the country it'self) , but not the poorest in Africa. It does not have only two Universities at all but They are three with a lot of campuses country wide and there are a lot of colleges, Vocational training centers and a lot of other institutions . THERE ARE TOO MANY LIES IN YOUR COMMENT ABOUT NAMIBIA

@@bethanychibueze9377 Botswana is strict and largely we know the notion on west and east africans. And it evident here in south africa. Yeoville,Hillbrow and Sunnyside are things of past.
I'm Namibian 🇳🇦, been to Angola, Botswana, Zambia & Zimbabwe and I must say I'm in love with southern Africa and would love to travel to other African countries.
Interesting.. i didn't know that most Batswana had same stigma as other African and Western media on South Africa... saw someone say ur government doesn't encourage u to visit South Africa... well so sad that most South Africans literally love Botswana than any neighboring Country. Also did u know that Mahikeng a city located next to Botswana in South Africa where generally ppl speak Setswana was the adminstrative capital of Botswana untill 1966 when offices moved to Gaborone. The father of Seretse Kama died in Mahikeng... What i am saying is that... the stigma won't help anyone. I know most ppl hate South Africans becoz of what media tells them.. of which is exaggerated. Just know those borders just are that borders they don't mean ppl beyond them aint ur ppl... literally the ppl in Mahikeng the rest of former Bophutatswana are all ur ppl. One Africa... stop the stigma
@@sboneloxaba566 This is not true. Generally Batswana are very favourable view of South Africa. And the government of Botswana does not discourage travel to South Africa. We are advised to take care just like in Botswana or other countries. Batswana and South Africa have many tribes and ethnic groups that originate in South Africa.
@@sboneloxaba566 its not true if there is one country batswana love its SA given the cultural unity and the fact that there are more ethnic Batswana in SA than Botswana and people literally share families with batswana in SA the Khamas are cousins to Royal bafokeng family and even most royalities in North West have families and some even raised here
@@sboneloxaba566 That's totally not true. I am not sure where you get that and if you did, it may have been a hint or advise on exercising caution when travelling to SA, and there's totally nothing wrong with that. Botswana and SA share culture, language and just so you know the largest ethnic Tswana group is that of South Africa with a population of over 4 million. South Africans and Batswana share border crossing because of their familial relationships on both sides. Both have relatives from both sides. Most families don't even live far away from each other within the border radius. Its painful to see them stamping their passports for a 2 kilometer familial visitations. Mafikeng used to be Botswana's capital before it was moved to Gaborone in 1966. Interesting isn't it? Those two should have been one country from the start and I am not sure what hell happened then but we al know its the work of the colonialists. They divided territories to their own advantage and look at the rest of Africa.
I’m Namibian 🇳🇦 and usually visit Botswana every year and I call this a fair/good comparison in the sense that both countries are NOT entirely different from each other! This is very educational and gives an idea of what each country can offer! I have visited Zambia and South Africa too and it just feels like home!
Im from Namibia and was reading comments it feel so great how ur all supportive of both countries. Was in SA last year was a great experience hope to visit all neighboring countries... Love u AFRICA ❤️❤️❤️
Pierce hawke please don't make your decision based on this bs Namibia and Botswana are very beautiful countries with it's with very rich and diverse cultures please again displore is demeaning Africa he has no clue about what's he's representing he's a greedy demon trying to make a buck this sickness me to diarrhoea
I am from Botswana, but I must say I will never forget the New Year holidays of 2019 that I had with my then fiance, now wife. Swakopmund (Namibian coast city), was like an extension of Gaborone (Botswana capital). We met a lot of friends from Gaborone doing their holidays there, we even bumped into one of my cousins and her hubby in a night club in Swakop during new year countdown celebration. The club capacity had half Namibians and half Batswana all full of love, music and dancing. Viva Africa Viva.
Namibia is a country that developed so very fast in economy. Imagine we just get independence in 1990 but our economy has done so well. Bostwana we love you.
@@lionsimba723 in the same anywhere in Subsahara africa( west, Central, east africa). There is no Hate. african People from one country move to another one.
Having lived in both countries I'd say they they share some similarities of small population mid-income stable economies powered by diamonds, tourism and beef and very good and friendly people, but the differences are a joy that each individual needs to experience to truly appreciate their uniqueness. Love from Botswana.
Kabe The Great- SA just chill ,she doesn’t want to..why do y’all feel entitled,we know y’all are much better in terms of development but now it ain your time,Botswana is a beautiful country too !
Ke mo-Tswana in Namibia, No comparison or division of this peaceful African Countries can shake the LOVE I feel for this two Countries. Tsaya approves both this resourceful, diverse, cultural, Black continents... Kgotso!
The nickname comes from our liberation struggle history and the odds we faced. We fought off the Germans and as soon as we were about to win, the tables were turned against Germany after losing ww2 and we had new colonizers (the British) wh turned us to their proxy South Africa under the apartheid regime. SA had one if the strongest armies in the world when we contained them for over 40 years of guerrilla warfare of which we have won many significant battles until our independence. Hence the verse Namibia Land of the Brave in our national anthem which we have adopted as a nickname now.
@@RonLitto wow, this is a great story. I am Canadian and I love Africa and Africans. I wanted Namibia to be Canada's neighbor. we would help Namibia to be developed as well
#DYK Mahikeng which is a city in the North West Province of South Africa was the Adminsitrative capital of Botswana. It served until 1966 when offices were moved to Gaborone. Mahikeng ppl speak Tswana same language as Botswana... Mahikeng being one of the only cities which served two countries and was influential in the independence of Botswana and South Africa. Now u know
I am from Botswana, and growing up I must say I LOVED Bophuthatswana (to gather the Tswana). We went to Mafikeng every month for shopping and I treated it like my second home. I loved Lucas Mangope. The way his son died in such a freak accident was so sad :( I wish I could go back in time to such an idyllic period in my life. We have always had excellent relations with the Tswanas of South Africa. They treat us like their own. I wish Botswana and Bophuthatswana had merged to form one country. It would have been a magnificent union eish!
Comparing countries is good but comparing the SADC countries is kinda not a good thing because these countries are more or likely the same and are interrelated. Also comparing African countries will soon evoke division instead of Unity. But though, thank you for a great video. Our curiosity is now dead* and happy. I'm a SOUTH African (🇿🇦🇿🇦) , I love both Namibia and Botswana and all other African states....
Africa is blessed am proud to be an African. Am from South Africa but I love Africa as a whole. But I think is more time we look into a more popular way of making money online to develop ourselves and nation. Currently bitcoin is blooming we can venture into it.
Hello Displorers, I am Namibian and frankly, I love our Southern African neighbours including Botswana. we share so much in common. and the comparison says it all. In my view, no two places are the same, but these two countries have little to separate them, we are like twins. Overall, southern Africa has one of the most Aesthetic landscapes and people than anywhere else in the world.
Nee man, die goed moet gese word, dis hoekom di mense wegkom met hul corrupt transakies van niemand prat oord dit nie, ons moet name and shame, hoekom moet ons stil bly,
The population of Botswana has benefited from expanding economy and enjoys exceptional living standards, both countries are rich in resources, and have a small population of about 3 million. In contrast to Botswana, a significant portion of the Namibian population struggle with high unemployment, substandard housing, and limited economic opportunities.
Never make a competition between Namibia and Botswana because we are really good friends and we never compare each other negatively. We Batswana love Namibia and they are our best friends and neighbor in Africa
Lets not sell this “best friend” thing to the world because that’s not the case in reality. Your BDF army has been killing our people for years now & in most cases it’s simply because of fishing along the CHOBE river that is shared between these two countries in the Caprivi/Zambezi region of Namibia. They always twist it and say they’re poachers but they shoot at them while their doing their activities on our side of the country you lot should be ashamed of yourselves for taking people’s lives because of fish we have people from your country who use to come here illegally but we don’t shoot them but uphold them according to our laws of arresting. You are calling for war & one day you’ll get what you want
Been going through most of the comments, and I just love how most people feel that they love both these countries, and realise that Africans are actually more connected! I am a motswana, and love all southern African countries!

Botswana built its economy and its infrastructure from the ground up and has never inherited any from Western countries unlike most African countries where the infrastructure was inherited from colonialists. The colonialists deserted Botswana because they thought it was a desert and there was nothing to gain from it. So they had to fend for themselves.
@@cogolden7408please, stop saying it again, . Namibians worked in Mines as slaves for Germans colonialists. So Namibians built their own country. Period
Born Namibian with heritage from Botswana, dad born there, my granny buried there. So though Namibia is my home country, I love Botswana equally. Botswana is my second home.
@@idomeneaskakoulakis8132 Botswana diamonds are clean. Do a bit of research on our diamonds. Oil brings in more revenue than the diamonds though. We do not have oil like other countries
It wasn't poverty it was rising to the world's standards ...our land only his away our diamonds until the colonizers left because they didn't see how profitable we were and came back for the diamonds later
As motswana son of the Soil Botswana, I find Namibia more appealing than my own. It boast of highly developed Energy Sector, well planned villages and road networks, extensive road, rail networks and high Internet penetration level. Above all, access to European markets and as well as Sea Trade. Kudos to my lovely neighbors!
I passionately love my country, Botswana, but I also love our neighbours in Namibia! Together we will go far - starting with building that railway line to connect Atlantic and Indian oceans, and collaborating to desalinate sea water to turn our countries into oases! Let's do it, Namibia! I plan to buy a holiday home in Swakopmund!
it seems you did more research on Botswana than Namibia. all the way from Namibia👌❤. Land of the brave, I choose you over and over. But yeah thumbs up to Botswana too😊
I am from Namibia and I have to say that these two countries are amazing, we are brothers and sisters and we do ask SALT from each other. I was once in Zambia which is a good country now planning to visit other African countries but first Botswana. Any brother and sister there?
Wow, the love African brothers and sisters have for each other (in the comments) rings louder than this comparison. Amazing, to see the love we all have for each other. How amazing💕❤️ I'm a Namibian inlove with Africa ✊🏼
Wow this is amazing watching from Zambia and I love seeing my neighbors doing great, in short Africa is great I mean Al the 54 countries, looking forward to seeing more of your videos from my channel
Given the years botswana has been independent, it's quite understandable why they have the edge, I'm not trying to prove anything but I'm just saying you were also supposed to mention that Namibia just gained it's independence in 1990
I'm Namibian,i ❤ my home land the land of the brave, but on the other hand i have so much love for Botswana too,i could say we are most definately Twins 👬 One ❤❤❤❤❤😀
Asante sana Displore. Amazing work. With all the infrastructure projects in Africa....Can we find out which MOTHERLAND countries have Archeological projects to discover our past. ie. Mali and the great cities of wealth. As Africans we need to feel pride in our past also. Muzungu countries can trace back thousands of years. Egypt has pyramids. Zimbabwe castles, etc etc. Blessed Love to my brothers and sistas Worldwide.

I'm from Namibia and I will say both these countries are equally good and peaceful in fact all countries in SADC are beautiful let alone all African countries. 🇳🇦
@Kazeshini Hijacker because first of British colonialists destroyed Somalia 🇸🇴 they drew wrong borders our lands and people were given to Ethiopia and Kenya that’s why Somalia is shaped like number 7 and that’s why there’s wars and conflicts
I did a program on fleet management in the fourth industrial revolution in Namibia. And without fear of contradiction, Namibia is much far ahead than Botswana. Bravo ✓
And yet Botswana is consistently ranked top in most surveys on innovation, entrepreneurship, etc. Perhaps doing a proper comparative study would raise this above hunches and gut feelings?
