I was out on the SevenBs yesterday and it was pretty gross. Was watching some kayaks off Newport and thankful I was on the boat. Sea-money Chris was with us and got a monster 9.5 lb tog.

Your videos are fantastic and helpful. Thanks keep them coming ..I got a question for you. I have currently a outback with a taquito motor. I love it to get around. I fish all around Long Island. My question is I’m thinking of selling it and getting the old town with spot lock.. like you have, what do you think? How does it hold up in ruff water with the spotlight? Do you have a problem toggin with it when the water in the currents moving?

Awesome video. Question for you? I was looking into the bait caster rod and reel combo. How can I tell if there is one for saltwater and also what kind do you have and how do you read the information for one? Is it like spinning reels where u have a 3k or 4k etc

Bait casters are awesome. I use one for bottom fishing only. A Quantum Accurist. A very popular reel used in saltwater by many. Also consider one that has a "flip" option. A switch that changes how the trigger is used. Choose between a spring loaded trigger or a traditional bait caster trigger - reset by the handle. A feature awesome for bottom fishing.

great reel add a power handle and it brings big fish up fast. paired wth an ugly stik and you have a great tog set up. an ugly stik and you cant go wrong. the tog practically catch them selves.@@mickmouse92

another great reel is the okuma komodo ss. sometimes the accurist is sold out especially in the fall during tog season. both are solid, the okuma might be slightly more money, but in my experience, it stands up better to salt water, still very smooth after multiple seasons... not quite so much for my accurist.
