Hi, If you are ever in the area to dive again, we've just opened up a new hostel down the road from Dorothea called Basecamp Wales, about 2 miles down the road in Llanllyfni, find us on Facebook or Google.
Good Job and well done !! especially on open circuit. Did you find or see the small blind tunnel at the bottom . Its a short swim inside and comes to a dead end. I seem to remember you could add your name on a board or the wall at the end and someone had left a small toy inflatable fish/dolphin, my memory is a bit fuzzy as it was 2008, then again I could be narked. Would be interested if it was still there. I dive rebreather which probably makes it easier for me.
+mfgdprcs Yes,we have seen this tunnel and board. We were the beginning of the tunnel where it is 106m, in the middle of the tunnel is definitely 108m (the computer must be set up to fresh water)
Hi, I've been fascinated with this place since i met my wife 14 years ago. She lived in Talysarn as a child and played in and around it all her childhood and has many intriguing story's. . Her Grandfather worked there for 40 years plus as a slate splitter and was a union foreman. I wanted to ask why the divers have so many tanks when they go down. I'm not a diver. Is it the dive length or the depth..? Thanks
