Tizer is a fizzy soft drink. I think they stopped making it, the taste was unique. A polo is a round mint with a hole in the middle. Eddie's full name is Edward Elizabeth Hitler.
Helen Lederer who played Lady Natasha also played the receptionist nurse in the season 1 episode Apocalypse when Richie thought he was going to die in three days. I love this episode as well but I love the following episode Culture even more. I am looking forward to your reaction to that one. 👍
the bit where she comes to his bedroom door and ritchie has forgotten how to talk is probably my favourite moment in bottom, cracks me up every time. rick mayall was the fuckin best haha
Can I just say I love your videos and I don 't usually go for reactionary vids. But you've got a really contagious laugh and it's brilliant seeing an American enjoying our stuff. More please :)
I'm so envious that you get to watch these for the first time, I must have these 1000 times but would love to remember watching them for the first time. 😃
They also made The Young Ones, followed by Filty, Rich & Catflap TV series, along with The Comic Strip episodes, and Happy Families TV series. Their film Guest House Paradiso follows Eddy and Richie later in life, running a hotel next to a nuclear power station, and is even more funny and extremely violent than the Bottom series. The fight in the hotel kitchen has to be seen to be believed :-D I saw it at the movies, and almost had an asthma attack laughing so much :-D
I was afraid you'd skip season 2 and 3 after you uploaded the s3 finale. I'm glad you decided to upload this. This one is probably my fave along with gasman and the camping episode. And may I say, that's a smashing blouse you've got on.
Great episode. You should react to Rik Mayall: Lord of Misrule, it's a tribute to him. It'll make you laugh and cry, Ruby Wax summed him up as: 'Just beautiful.'
Agreed. But after the sadness of the loss of a comedy hero, there is the inspiration he left behind. There's also must-see footage of an inspiring "Five Mantras" speech he gave to Exeter University on graduation day after they gave him an honorary doctorate. Dr Rik Mayall. @James Bortles I'd read he had a heart attack after coming back from a jog Edit: yeah his wife said he had an acute cardiac arrest after coming back from a run.
Really great performer of poetry too. Something I'm not often into, except where Rik is involved. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sMQNH9G5nbI.html
Love these Bottom reactions, please do them more often. Have you seen Batman in Classic Movie Scenes? They are a bit old but great little series by channel called PistolShrimps. If you haven't give them a chance.
Some points of confusion I saw Sarah Ferguson was married to Prince Andrew and the gag is that even though she is a duchess as well Eddie will not go on a date with her as she was generally disliked by the british public Tizer is soda
In terms of the series, the camping episode is best. Though even better is the part of the live show where they break character. I suggest you search for that on RU-vid.
There's also a film called Guest House Paradiso, which they did - essentially it's Bottom, but they've changed the names slightly. Warning though - it is in poor taste (out doing Monty Python's Mr. Creosote in the latter part of the movie) - but if you liked the great Hobnob fight in the episode 'S Out, then you have to see the kitchen fight from this film. Ade and Rik at their most violent and hilarious.
I knew you’d love this episode, it’s one of the best in the three series!!! I think you’ll really enjoy the next one too, which is called Burglar. Looking forward to the next one! 👍🏻
So Eddie got lucky in this episode and other episode Break I couldn't stand Richie some of the time. Eddie is more likeable character but I do slightly feel sorry for Richie through out the series
