This video is from the Bou Mraou village in the Amizour district of Bejaia, Algeria. This village is the birthplace of Belaid Ali Mohend Cherif in his honor from his daughter Lydia.
A small village on the top of a mountain located at an altitude of 693m which overlooks a good part of Kabylia. Burned several times by the French settlers during the colonial period and rebuilt by the villagers.
Bou Mraou is known as a village of martyrs.
Today, a good part of its structure has fallen into ruin but is still inhabited while retaining its beauty and charm.
