Where to buy: amzn.to/2PeqBsu Boucheron Jaipur pour homme EDP is one of the most iconic fragrances that doesn't cost a lot but smells like an expensive niche fragrance. Full review !
This might have been my best blind purchase ever at $30. It's a bit of a "dandy" fragrance and my wife thinks it's a bit too powdery but I love it. A great comfort smell.
Wow just the fragrance I was wonder about buying since I had no sample of it. You killed it as usual and you took us on a tour-guide-journey when you spoke about the history, the city, the people, that's so amazing!
I am glad you liked the historical aspects I covered my friend , I always wonder if that's going to be appreciated by people . If you decide to get this one , it won't disappoint for sure as long as you like sweet orientals :)
@@ACSmellsGood when I know about the history and the vision behind the perfume I can appreciate it more. for example rojas enigma/creation-e is something that I would love to know more about, like how did he come up with that unique scent-profile? what is the story behind it. I think in general that you should follow your intuition nonetheless how people respond, its not the creators job to cater and suit everyone, its his or hers job to just put it out there the way inspiration wants it to go. and then what happens to that creation should not be his or hers burden or responsibility. its like the moses story. God says do this and moses says what no it won't work. and god just says do it.
Nice, I like the way you put forward your view and the analogy :). I think you have sown a seed in my mind to go and hunt the story of Enigma , and I shall because I want to review it soon. Its been a while since I have reviewed a Roja. I totally agree on following your heart when it comes to creating something, generally thats when good results come!
I bought a 'tester' on ebay. Apparently, they were out of 'testers' and sent me a regular boxed bottle:) At first I thought it was a summer frag with the citrus but with the dry down this is now one of my favorite cool/cold weather scents !
I’ve worn Jaipur Homme EDP consistently since it came out in 1997. I was in my early 40’s at that time and it fit perfectly with my lifestyle. I have never received so many compliments from women on this EDP. It has always been my signature scent and I will wear it forever. Probably not for guys under 30-35.
Thank you my friend :). I tend to see fragrances as an art form and just go deep into them to understand the creation if I am honest. I am glad my approach is liked :). Have a great Sunday.
The most underrated fragrance ever? Best bang for your buck by far. At least to me, this is undoubtedly a masterpiece. I take the cap off and sniff it and the atomizer together, even when I’m wearing something else. 10/10
AC sir, I got this 2 days ago and it's a real wow and I can definitely say it has become one of my most favourite one Loving the dry down as well as the beginning , lovely balanced between spice , cream and citrus with lovely longevity and moderate projection. Thanks a lot sir for letting us know about this gem with your excellent review....
This is a real gentleman's fragrance Tanmooy, I can see your taste now. It takes certain sort of appreciation in fine things to like this one, well done my friend :) Enjoy, in fact everytime I wear this it reminds me of Diwali time for reason :)
To me it's Durga Puja .... It's really festive , I will try to have always have one in my collection for sure like Encre Noir .... Thanks for your appreciation I am overwhelmed :)
Bought it just very recently....and i just don’t know how they manage to make it so good and so inexpensive?Yes,a timeless classic, and very original...sometimes make me think-do we really need all this (very expensive)niche stuff, which flooded the market in recent years, when we have a dozen of great inexpensive designer fragrances for a fraction of a price,?and Jaipur is one of them...
This is Devine...smells absolutely gorgeous far beyond my expectations I would say... Undying gratitude for enlightenment AC sir... Can’t ask for much more than this in a perfume...❤️❤️👌
i got myself a bottle in the beginning of the year, but i don't really pick up on any of these divine scents that people keep talking about. to me, it smells slightly citrussy, with maybe a bit of vanilla throughout which stays very linear. other people on the internet describe it as baby powder, which i tend to agree with.
AC, just received my Prada Lhomme leau. Just as wonderful as you described. I am extremely pleased with your recommendation. Thanks again. Peace and be well my friend ✌
Just got Boucheron pour homme EDP today but not Jaipur. Mannnn, it's pure class in a bottle. You should make a review of that one!!!! That's a request from your fan. Have a good one, AC.
Thanks for this review, especially the discussion about the Jaipur culture / wearer-image inspiration. Have had the EDT for a while and the EDP has been on the purchase list for too long. Nice, typically well presented addition to the youtube review catalogue for this unique, classic oriental scent.
Thank you Michael, and if you decide to go ahead with the EDP then comparatively I would say it is 15% richer and more probably twice as much interesting as the EDT. Very classy fragrance my friend :).
Thanks for the info AC! Excited that bottles of Jaipur EDP is next for me along with D&G The One Royal Night (designer list is short). Also excited to try new release Houbigant Bois Mystique sample on way. The Scentient Man gave you a shout out recently, which is groovy.
Oh nice one Michael. Please do let me know what you think of the Houbigant. I checked out Raj's video and enjoyed it a lot. I think it was very kind of him to do so.
Hello Ac, jaipur edp is one of a fragrance that need some time to grew on imho. Initially I was quite overwhelmed by the strong powdery quality and huge amount of spices it had. After a few wearing I finally could understand the fragrance , it was intended for cold weather or at least for climate control situation. And I think less is more with this one. I use 3-4 spray undershirt as you described and magic starts to happens. Your review is spot on Ac, and I couldn't agree more about the niche quality.. 👍
it's truly a piece of art.. I just can't imagine myself wearing it. I like to watch your review and smell it on my hand, but kind of that's it. It has a similar feel to Versace Dreamer... even tho the different notes
Wow I thoroughly enjoyed this review! Loved the references too! Sadly I don't get the citruses up top, but everything else I get. Lovely scent from the turn of the century. I'd say its almost a bit too shy, but I feel that may be a trademark of the house.
Thank you Raj, and totally agree on the parallels with Lalique. Makes you wonder why some of these niche fragrances are so expensive :) while they offer linear scents :).
Thanks AC, informative review. I haven't tried the EDP but have tried the EDT a few times. Although the EDT was nice I ended up trying Boucheron Pour Homme and liked that better so bought that instead. I will need to give the Jaipur's another try if I can find an EDP to get my nose on.
Thanks mate and yeah Boucheron Pour Homme is a fantastic Masculine. Which version do you have EDT or the EDP? Try Jaipur EDP its stunning and very classy !
@@ACSmellsGood I have the EDT because that was the only one available to try. I love it. Takes me back to the 90's in such a nostalgic way. I would love to get my nose on Jaipur EDP. The EDT didn't seem to last that long on my skin and didn't smell as good to me as the Boucheron Pour Homme. Would love to see you do a review of that one.
@@boredaliensclub4416 i don't see a year on it but it shows the number 7 engraved on the glass at the bottom... performance is pretty good but that also depends on your skin chemistry I usually use apply Vaseline before wearing fragrances to enhance longevity
@@ACSmellsGood I will brother..im a sucker for orientals and lavender based fougere like dusty fragrances so I know i will love them..plus i got them for a really good deal considering im in Kenya where prices are really exaggerated..I had to snatch them..thank you man
@@ACSmellsGood got jaipur and i love it..that vanilla/tonka bean is killer..i just wish it was a tad more spicy and it had a kick to it..projection is kind of mediocre..but the scent profile is top notch..thanks for the review mate
The producers of this fragrance couldn't have paid you to do a better review. Wow...! What a trip in fragrance history. Thanks. I think it's only fitting that I honour your channel with a sub. Yes, you got it !!
@@ACSmellsGood I have been using Guerlain Heritage for 9+ years as my work scent, when I watched your video of Guerlain Heritage vs Danger, you covered the journey of Heritage so accurately that I knew I could trust your nose. :) Thanks again for your work.
Thank you mate, I know you do not like EDPs in general but this one is a different matter. Its twice as attractive and interesting compared to the EDT.
The way this guy described this cologne makes me think he's describing a prince who uses it😆. If you watched this review and didn't even think about buying it, what are you doing aha.
As usual wonderful review bro. I have guerlain heritage edp. How can you compare this with heritage. Is it under same kind of smell. Need your suggestion pls
Fellas, please help me. Im considering blind buying Jaipur, but shall i go for the Edt or Edp ? Now i guess the Edp is stronger, but is there a big difference in smell and composition ? And which one is more versatile season-wise, because some reviewers said you might be able to pull it of in summer too. Thank you !
Colin, I would suggest you test the EDP on your skin first as I do not think the EDT is floral rich on me. Its more of a spicy oriental on me and I hardly get any florals.
youve convinced me to buy it, however can i ask. As a blind buy and im looking for a beautiful long lasting scent with no other criteria, would you choose this over the Hanae Mori EDP or Lalique (lion) edp.. i know there's lots of variables but im looking for a £30ish scent and narrowed it down
Depends on your age group and your taste John. If you are 25+ and like sweet fragrances then HM would be a great choice and if you are 30+ and like classy fragrances then Jaipur EDP is on a different level. Lalique EDP is a fabulous woody scent but this is more interesting.
@@ACSmellsGood Thank you very much for reply..i am older gent and i think then Jaipur edp will be the one...two of my fave scents are GEO Trumpers sandalwood and Dior eau sauvage edp 2017 and im thinking the Jaipur will sit nicely with those two beauties. Best regards sir.
Honestly my worst blind by ever, went straight in the bin, the smell reminded me of a cross between baby oil and an old Grannies scent, just hideous! Sorry but very true
