If you get a married tuner you can contact sct they can unlock it I think the fee is around$150. Also the Custom tune won't even load to your car. The tuner locks that custom tune to the car that it's for this stops from that tune being passed around to others that have the same mods as the car it was normally for. if they didn't do this the tunner would lose money because you could just email your buddy the custom tune to use on his car if he had the same mods.
when you cleared the custom tunes and adjusted the options on your 4.6 engine , did it use up one of your unlocks ? how is the car running now ...and if need be , where you able to go back to stock if you had to ?...thanks , very curious ...cause i have a used sct x4 tunner and it says i have 5 unlocks left but its married ....when you went back to factory settings was it now unmarried ?
It needs to be unmarried from the old vehicle. The unlocks is how many times it can be changed to another vehicle. So you should see you count drop once you unmarry old vehicle and marry yours. There is a comment on this video saying you can contact the company and have the tuner reset if you dont have access to the married vehicle. Idk, but worth a Google....Yes the vehicle can be brought back to stock at anytime.... my car is running great. I am really happy with the Tuner for the basic mods I have.
Can I keep switching back and forward from my Harley to my 6.0 powerstroke with out using up all the 4 times left ? Or will it use 1 each time I switch
You can only "Marry" the scanner to 1 vehicle at a time. So each time you change vehicles is removes lifes life. I think it would be best to get a 2nd scanner for your 2nd vehicle.
Idk the price but you can go straight to SCT and get it unlocked. Here is the link. derivesystems.helpjuice.com/147040-remote-unlock-info/how-to-unlock-your-bdx-40470-40490

@@UrAverageGearheadol for "free" ya, Not happening. I'd throw it away before I gave it to someone. It was a $500 tuner, so I'd say a guy buy it for $150 and he'd still be getting a deal on a used tuner. OR go buy a new one for $500 and save the hassle altogether- nothing is "free"
