I owned loads of Subaru in my past, I have owned both 987.2 and 981 Caymans, I can reassure you with all certainty that the 718 does sound like a Subaru. The flat four Boxster engine is intrinsically Porsche and sounding like a Subaru does not impact of the performance credibility of the 781 but the sound of the engine is very uninspiring as you left it at 4000 rpm for quite a bit the sound was a bit harsh due to missing cylinders.
Currently I’m on z4 30i and thinking on upgrading to z4 40i or boxster. I’m not sure if paying €10000+ more for a baseline Porsche worth’s it. I’m more tempted to get boxster just to be able to tell that at certain point I owned a Porsche.
@@vadimgutu4006 Dont buy a Porsche just to say you owned one, buy the car that suits you and your driving style the best, you going to buy a car for you not for others. Just go and take a testdrive with both of them, it makes de decision easier
Hi from a Zurich expat! I was looking in Feb and couldn't find a low milage Cayman under 50K so ended buying something completely different. Maybe I should have looked at a few high milage cars :-) Will be interesting to hear if you have costly problems.
Yeah same i looked arround 1.5 years for one and snatched it up as it came online😁 Hopefully i dont have to much problems, it has still warranty though
Nice to see a decent well used example, that scenery looks amazing too. Everyone likes a bargain too so I'm glad this seems to be that for you. Contemplating a 718s too but may wait for the market to drop here in UK as prices and interest rates a bit too high. Great video thanks for sharing
Nah i think the a45S amg and cla 45s come with a little higher horsepower than the 2.5 GTS coxster. Regardless I’m sure the coxster is faster on track or after a tune
