Show respect for the song first. Listen. No interruptions. Then go back & comment. Also, with respect, do your research before commenting. This is a true story song about loss & love by one of the most iconic singers of our day. Mad respect for listening to it & bringing Emmylou's music to your young listeners. Peace...

মরুভূমিতে ছিলাম, প্রেমের গান শুনতে চাই না..বোল্ডার থেকে বার্মিংহাম পর্যন্ত হেঁটে যাব.. 😭😞 Lyrics: I don't wanna hear a love song I got on this airplane just to fly And I know there's life below me But all that you can show me is a prairie and the sky And I don't wanna hear a sad story Full of heartbreak and desire The last time I felt like this I was in the wilderness and the canyon was on fire And I stood on the mountain In the night and I watched it burn I watched it burn, I watched it burn I would rock my soul in the bosom of Abraham I would hold my life in his saving grace I would walk all the way from Boulder to Birmingham If I thought I could see, I could see your face Well, you really got me this time And the hardest part is knowing I'll survive I've come to listen for the sound Of the trucks as they move down out on ninety-five And pretend that it's the ocean Coming down to wash me clean, to wash me clean Baby, do you know what I mean I would rock my soul in the bosom of Abraham I would hold my life in his saving grace I would walk all the way from Boulder to Birmingham If I thought I could see, I could see your face If I thought I could see, I could see your face

This song is about the death of Gram Parsons.

It's a song about love lost for Gram Parsons not Gram's death.

@@mckendrick4046 it does not describe his actual death, no, but it does describe the attempt to honour his wishes by burning his body in the canyon he used to go to be alone and it describes how she felt after he died - in my books, that makes it about his death./ In any case, Emmylou herself said the song was about his death and the grief she felt in the years following it.

@@mckendrick4046 Missing Gram, if she could only see his face? Splitting hairs.

Can't hear anything you are saying, but if the sour look on your face is an indication, I'm not interested.
