I love his big heart, his love and loyalty for his family and his 'children'. He is a protector of his people, not just his family and the stray animals, but even those he has worked for. His people are lucky to have him.

😂 Same here. I’m from an Irish family and was born and raised in Brooklyn, since ‘76 and still here. EVERY damn one of em all say it.. They’re big name droppers too. I’ll say “I’m going to the store for a quart of milk” and they’ll F’ing start with the “What store? This store? Franko used to own that store, until Vincenzo bought it. You tell em you know me. You tell em you know Pauly,…Sal’s cousin from 86th street” It a friggin quart of milk dude!🤦‍♂️ I’M pretty sure I can get my hands on a quart of milk without mentioning half Bensonhurst. 🤷‍♂️

MadDog Joe really took on eight guys and he knocked out three out of the eight of them before until the cops arrived and here's the real deal and he is a one-man Force but what are you trying to say about this man Joe because before you start making fun or pick Ong him like most of the other negative commenters on here that's why read what I'm saying first because I knew the people that he grew up with and Joe's been working the doors for 25 years til this day and he's one of the best bouncers out there and he is respected and he's basically a legend and I know that for a fact because of the people Joe grew up with you and they told me when they we're at the clubs while Joe was working Joe would mix it up with anybody and everybody Joe is very strong on his feet and he can stand on his feet for them long and this is when he was bigger a lot bigger just think he's getting older now so he's taming and calming down because there's more cameras and more nosier people out there and who wants to go to jail Not Joe.

Joe!!! I have to say I was a engaged immediately based off your demeanor. You remind me of the guys from around the neighborhood when I lived in Bay Ridge/Bensonhurst in my 20’s, so I had a fond association, in addition to your overall vibe. But then when you talked about your cats!! It was so unexpected and kind..just another reminder that there is so much more to people than what we are able to perceive without scratching the surface. I feel the same about my kitties and am very sensitive to the little ones wandering alone in this world. I hope life gives you all the happiness you deserve as you seem to be a lovely person.. I did security when my mum had cancer and she was still safe by herself and wasn't really ill yet. We needed the money though we were poor, so when a job in security was offered I took it and I am not into violence, but I was a big guy and that helped. Idk how many times I have had knives or pool balls thrown at me and I learned fast to bear hug or use pain compliance if I was quick enough, and sometimes a few punches and I hated that outcome. The law at the time was one guard per 100 patrons, seriously you can't control that many. I quit after a guy tried to glass me and I was really lucky I saw from the cnr of eye him smashing the glass and I remember I had his arms and the glass was 3 inches from my gut. And there was no reason for this no history between us he just flipped out. I could not do it anymore that was enough my nerves were shot. But usually I could talk and calm guys down and that stopped fights or trying to get me. You almost become a counselor. Don't do this job if you have no training in something and you are unfit. Depending on where he was trained or brought up at, hurting other wrestlers may not have been uncommon. Take ECW back in the 90s, they legitimately hurt one another every time they went out to the ring. And some old school promotions from the 80s used to break new guy's arms as a way of introducing them to the profession and what to expect. Some independent promotions don't take wrestler safety seriously so it's not that hard to imagine a guy is able to hurt others and get away with it. Same generation, borough and ethnicity here and let me give my gut feeling on this interview for you that are shitting on this guy… This guy is THE MOST dangerous of the “old school” NYC breed: he’s a true BROOKLYN street kid. Half full of shit and half honest. (The honesty comes from our Italian mothers and their belief in the Catholic Church.) The catch is that the stuff you think he’s being dishonest about is the truth AND the shit you trust that he said is the scam! Pre 2008 & GFC, this city made you a real roughneck while teaching you to be a chameleon, allowing us to make YOU the rube! Thanks for taking some of us back for the memories JOE!!! ✊🏻 Those were some good times

I hear what you're saying about old school NYC kids and Italian moms. I lost one of my closest friends in 2015. He was from Long Island and had a big Italian family. He had a fiery temper when he was younger and got in quite a few fights. But it cost him money from lawyers that sued and he learned some life lessons and had some regrets about the fighting, that he reflected upon in his later years. He wondered if that cancer that took his life was god's punishment. Good dude though and a loyal friend that I won't forget.

Guess that's the way this goes. Amsterdam had a lot of characters back in the day, there was way more respect. Love yer comment.

Hearing this brought back a memory of my cat, the first 6 or 7 years I had no choice but to let him out the door. Eventually I got used to it, he always came back before it got late. I was always concerned about him being out, I used to kind of let my neighbors know as best as I could that if they ever saw him that he was mine and never to mess with him. Thankfully It never happened, I'm 100% sure I'd still be in jail if someone did. I'm pretty sure most of them knew that.

Love hearing all his fascinating stories, with his Brooklyn accent,…his love, care and dedication to taking care of his mother after his fathers early death and now his own family. He’s a scary looking guy but he has a HUGE heart- ❤ I bet he’s always been a great debt collector, wrestler and now bouncer! He’s huge!!!!! He does have a big heart…he protects dogs and children, and anyone who does that gets my vote! Keep it up Joe! You’re great!!!!

Alright I’m over the bullshit at the 13:30 mark. Out of 25 years I’d doing this there has been no one to out match him. Toughest situation was 8 guys where he won by having 3 of them out by the time the cops got there. Shits just not adding up to me here. Perhaps most of his “situations” there were multiple bouncers who on 1 guy. No way 25 years of 1 on 1 situations and no one ever fade your ass up before. Dude is like 63 and still undefeated lol.
