Bound for Canada: A Musical Journey from Hardship to Hope 

Bound For Canada is an original orchestral suite created exclusively for Canada Ireland Foundation by renowned composer Odhrán Ó Casaide.
Recorded live at the world premiere March 9, 2023 at Torontos Winter Garden Theatre.
The concert brings together celebrated musical talent from Ireland and Canada, and blends classical and traditional Irish music.
The music is a tribute to the resilience of Irish Famine migrants who, in 1847, embarked on their perilous journeys. The concert is also an expression of gratitude to the many selfless Canadians who provided assistance and comfort to the thousands of desperate Irish men, women and children who arrived on Canada's shores that fateful summer.
