This is possibly their finest overall free dance in terms of difficulty and quality. It is true that Love Parade had much higher difficulty, but this flows so well and they manage to incorporate some good footwork. This might have been a better choice for the 98 Olympics.
I don't understand what was so different from the Worlds and the Champions Series Final when B/K beat K/O.... I may be biased but this was definitely superior to Krylova/Ovssianikov.
Превосходное скольжение, они порхают как пушинки на льду. Программа замечательная, задорная, лёгкая. Все пары интересные и замечательные по своему. Танец Грищук/Платов очень интересный.
@cdnserbluvr Well one difference was the Champions Series final was in Canada. Krylova & Ovsiannikov also skated much better here. Bourne & Kraatz also skated better than the Champions final here, but the difference wasnt as big. I dont agree this was better. Many thought krylova & Ovsiannikov should have won the gold instead of Gritschuk & Platov who had mistakes. I would have had Bourne & Kraatz 2nd in the FD ahead of G&P but that would have kept them 3rd overall.
While I can sort of understand an argument for K&O to have won the free dance at these Worlds (I only had them in third since their content paled in comparison to G&P and A&P), I don't see an argument for them to have won gold since K&O made a major error in the Golden Waltz CD that should've placed them well outside of the top 5 in that portion of the competition. I also had K&O fourth in the rhumba CD since both French teams handled that CD better than they did in my personal opinion. I did have K&O second in the OD though.
