Jay Kay winning was just right. The outfit itself was ok but the performance killed it! You could see he had so much fun. Throb was amazing! The look gave me hotel because it reminded me of AHS 😻

I love Fantasia but girl wore a red scootchie dress and said ok I’m a lounge singer now. It looked like she had a Betty Boop look in her closet and said here I’ll make this work “ill tie it around and it’ll give ghost” And I’m sorry but anyone else would have gotten one of Drac’s speeches of step it up no more pedestrian! Meet the challenge and make it Dragula. It isn’t because she is glam…I love the glam looks like Satana this week looked great in my opinion. And I was a huge Sigourney Beaver last season. But for me Fantasia is getting a pass every single week so far. Week 1 girl was in the African savanna not the woods nor serving terror, week 2 did a plastic surgery look we see at least once a season on both drag competition shows (aka pretty basic) and didn’t serve Trash pail kids, and then this week she absolutely did not hit the challenge…AT ALL!
agree 1000% about throb's look, oml that mobster ghost was hot as ever... when he came out i gasped, fit perfect in that era and had such a smooth sinnister smile, that look was everything, if i had more than 2 thumbs up to give he'd get all the thumbs lmao i also agree with your notes on fantasia, I was gagged when she was announced and I loved that beetleguise look in the cast announcement trailer, but since then its been abit underwhelming, I know she's that girl and I wanna see her just blow us away cuz I know she can

I have to agree with Kendra's bottom placement and reasoning. They looked good, but...not dead. Really happy to see Jay Kay win, it was a weird, cool concept, really neat. Also really loved Throb's look. Sad to see Satanna go. I've really enjoyed all of her looks and would have liked to have seen more of her. RIP.
I haven’t seen literally anybody talking about them kinda hinting at a nio and ork having feelings for eachother. And then nio was a bride with a star on her eye and ork was in a tuxedo and his face was an upside down star. Idk maybe it’s just a coincidence but it felt like they were playing into it
I think the difficult balance of any drag reality show is the expectation to have a clear and distinct brand while also being versatile enough to adapt to the theme of the challenge. There are some people who I feel have clear and distinct characters but aren't as successful in showcasing the theme - Fantasia, Jarvis, Orkgotik (even though they've been successful the common criticism is around how their looks relate to the theme) - but then you also have to not lose your sense of self and change your style for the sake of the show (as Bitter Betty was accused of last season). I also feel like 'not seeing the hotel' aspect of the criticism felt unfair in parts in judging because part of the hotel universe is the different types of guests you can encounter there, although I'm shocked no one did a chambermaid as I thought that would've been an obvious go-to. For me, Throb's look was really successful and I don't think it had to be limited to hotel occupations when trying to fit it into the theme. I'm a big fan of the cast this year, I love the diversity and creativity and I especially enjoy getting to see the BOUviews. I love the trajectory Dragula has been on for the past few years and I enjoy anything that brings it further into focus.
IMO with anna- i think she could have had more blood from the mouth or from the back of her neck spilling towards the front of her neck, maybe a bit on her chest to give you an idea SOMETHING HAPPENED TO THE BACK OF HER to give a better tease for everyone questioning the story before she gave the final reveal. honestly a good look, I think anna just is missing details to execution to the incredible story-telling she has in her mind! Loved all of her ideas so far
Boulet’s always flip flop on the fitting the challenge aspect. You’re either in the top despite not fitting it, or you’re in the bottom for not fitting it. Make it make sense!!
I’m thinking if everyone else picked it up then Ork would seem more mediocre or would get more criticisms, but they’re just not so they just end up picking the better executed ones. IMO
Loved the episode. First -- people who think that Coco is just a look really need to re-watch the Titans - the girl can emote. Was really happy to see her return in season 5. Secondly --- you all look great tonight. A very ghostly image indeed Miss Kendra. I thought Satanna's death scene was really cool. She really sold the idea of getting hacked up.
If I had the power to put someone up I would have picked someone from just below the top 2-3 of the pack to move myself up. So I probably would have picked Jarvis or maybe Blackberry. Depending on where I landed the last 2 weeks. HOWEVER I probably would have felt frustrated that Fantasia keeps getting a pass “for being a legend.” Which to me is a ridiculous because if they are such a legend to deserve a pass then why are they needing a pass and not killing it?!
I felt they could have used some references from The Sixth Sense. Obviously dead, and you can see how they got that way. At least there would have been a story, and they might not even know they're dead. Putting 'hotel' into this challenge was hard. A hotel is where you go to sleep. How do you portray that, aside from being a bell hop, or carrying luggage, both of which were done? This sounded cool, until they had to come up with something readable. Still loving the season. Plenty of filth and horror!
That Key of Life bit had no business being as funny as it was, y'all are too funny Also, I respectfully disagree with Mayday about Ork not fitting the challenge. Week 1 was a park ranger, Week 2 was a gross-out Garbage Pail Kid and this week was a bellhop. I agree that the extra accoutrements can sometimes muddy the overall concept (like the centipede arms week 1 or the actual garment week 2), but I still think Ork stays within the realm of the challenge. The monster I'd say didn't fully fit the challenge was Nio; her look was great, but it didn't really read ghost nor hotel.
Why can't Gia just do the show through Zoom? This is getting so tiring with all these switch-ups! And this host is not even a monster, so how are her comments valid? Get mad, just my opinion.
