Damn the Rotel was fuller and more power to the bass. I have the B & W 704 s2 and looking at upgrading to the 703 s3. The sound is so powerful and graceful with the details. Thanks for the video.
@homecinemaking397 - No, the S14 isn't a proper amp for 703, your Marantz eather. You should check Rotel RA-1592 or Rotel RC1590 + RB1590. With s14 the 703 sounds like 60% of their potential. You said that the B&W 703 aren't giving you a "bass in your chest" effect. Give them 200-350W and they will blow away you and your furnitures straight to your backyard. Great video, you have it!
I bought the 702 S3 with an NAD-M33. Sounds wounderfull. It was very important where to place the speakers. After some tryings i found the right position, without using Dirac.
@@hclandscapes the Golds will have a smoother more neutral high with the amt tweeter, where the BW will have more in your face highs. This will be the biggest difference.
@@homecinemaking397 I currently have the B&W 704s2 and I’m considering buying the the monitor audio gold 200 5G as they have been discontinued in the uk . Do you think it would be a substantial improvement over my 704s2’s?
@@homecinemaking397 I was tempted the 300’s with the 8 inch bass drivers , in the up they are only £500 more than the 200’s right now my only concern is the amount of extra space they would need do the larger cabinet etc? My other option is to keep the 704s2’s and get an svs sv3000 🤔
Subwoofers will fix that, i rather have quality over quantity and then get a sub witch you need anyway to get the full experince, a speaker is not crap because its light on bass, having a lot of bass is not always a good thing, having a good tweeter is more important.
