l like how 4 hours of battery life was horrible battery life but 5 is wonderful because it get Flossy to Las Vegas without having to recharge them.🤣🤣

Wow, best review of these buds I seen! I wouldn't have "upgraded" but, I got an offer for a price reduction from B&W. II think B&W made the offer to previous owners. My daughter was gifted the original version. So I think all in all it was worth it for me. Off-topic, but what was the brand and model of that knife? Love the blade shape.

The shake test needs 1 more step imo, Hold the case upside down, open and "spank" the bottom of the case, how hard u need to spank/ slap the case to get the buds to pop out is the real test of magnets in a drop and if the buds will stay in the case, shaking vs impact is different I've found

I listen to hip hop/pop/R and B mostly and vocals. So after your reaction after putting them on..... I had to buy em loll. Thanks for helping me make my decision Sony 1000xm4 vs Pi7 S2 These are MAGICAL. Every single song I listen to sounds absolutely incredible and immersive it picks up every detail like you have never heard your songs before. You get lost in your music. No bluetooth in ear can compare. I actually didnt care about anything else but SOUND. Now here's the problem. Comfort. After 1-2 hours of wear they start getting pretty uncomfortable ( my ears are smaller) compared to Beats pro, apple etc. other than that. they are a secure fit. you can run workout in these. Noise cancelling is Great. phone calls are clear. It doesn't have an equalizer. but spotify does. so that did the trick for me. I put it on loud setting, and ( hip hop, bass booster, Rock etc) it handled extremely well. I almost teared up when I heard my music for the first time on these without equalizer. I hope the next version is more comfortable. That's my only reservation. If you are looking to get immersed in your music. You will want to go back to hear all your favorite songs on these. you'll hear every detail like you haven't heard them before. It's truly an experience to just put them on. These are the Holy Grail of in-Ear as of date.

Hey Floss! I have a question about these earbuds vs. the LG Tone FP9's (mainly regarding the bluetooth re-transmission). Not sure if it's already been asked in the comments, but I have the LG's and they sound great for their price, and I love the fact they offer that bluetooth re-transmission to the earbuds from the case. I do notice a bit of latency on the LG when I watch a video/movie from my AV receiver's headphone output. The built-in bluetooth on the receiver is trash, huge latency, so I don't use it. Do the Pi7 S2 have any latency issues when using the bluetooth re-transmission? Say hi to White Shoes for me, I've got a female orange tabby cat myself, so I'm too a cat person.

Great review, as always! I have the midnight blue pair, and the sound is everything you say it is!!!---I hope Bowers and Wilkins gives us an app update with volume control directly from the earbuds. I know two people who have bought the Bang and Olufsen EX earbuds over the Bowers and Wilkins Pi7 S2 just based on volume control alone. I agree with you on your ranking the B&O a step above the B&W. I do find the Pi2 S2 to be more comfortable than the Bang and Olufsen EX though. If the Pi7 S2s gets longer battery life and volume control, they will be serious contenders with the B&O.

Well said. Really appreciate the soundstage of the first edition pi7. But stuck with the signals and call quality. Also there’s no EQ control in the app. Hope they updated it for the second edition

Floss you know there is an EQ settings in RU-vid music settings right? I use it all the time it's definitely not the best like having a native app EQ but it does make a difference and usable. Great review though i been sporting 2 sets of ear buds the beats pro and the sound core liberty 3 pros but been looking for a premium pair so these are on my radar. Keep the reviews coming bro.

i bought the ex after owning the B&O PI7 and also owning the airpods pro 2. For daily stuff like taking a walk or at work or going shopping i take my airpods pro 2, i just love these because they read my messages etc without taking my phone out or watching on my watch and have good sound and anc/transparency and call quality. But when i going for a run or working out or just want the best sound i ever heard in a earbud that is when i take the EX over all the others. The only thing i would love to see is a EQ n the app and not that dial.

I had the pi7. Sound quality compared to AirPods PRO is on a different world. But the connection problems and delays made it unusable for taking calls. Took half a minute for it to connect. So i used them only for music. Or i did until i washed one of the airplug in the washer by mistake.

I know these sounds great, but only bluetooth 5.0 for $400? Thanks for the review Flossy!

I'm almost certain the 3 ANC from status audio are better than these and they're half the price also you can buy a 3.5 mm Bluetooth dongle if you needed in a pinch also the retransmission is going to end up using the charge in the case so if you use that then you don't have a way of charging your headphones again because it ran out.....

Would you go for the eq or the ex? I can get the eqs for 200 bucks or the ex for 400 bucks. I’m not to sure on which to pick

Hey a little correction, not that you can go back and change the video, but they support aptX Adaptive which is the latest and greatest. aptX HD is old technology and miles behind aptX Adaptive.

does anyone knows if this is louder than BEO EX? i owned beo EX and returned it as the buds was for only indoor listening. outside useless unless you increased volume up 90% (ANC, mode was almsot non-exist thats why need to listen higher volume outside) thanks guys

Hey Floss, on the S23 ultra, when I go into developer options ldac and aptx are greyed out. If I bought buds that supported those 2 does that mean the phone would also? support them?

I've been using the PI7 for about 2 years now and never had any connection issues, used them mostly with iphone, ipad, macbook and LG Gram laptop, about the audio quality fisrt I was like meh... but then I got the comply foam eartips for them, they are just amazing with them

previous model had the best sound quality to date but the connection was poor outside in nyc, if you ever walk into an intersection with a stop light, it is borderline unusable. The stoplights signal along with people with other bluetooth headsets interfere with the connection so much.

mine keep coming off from my ears , I can't walk on the street with mine. I use use them only when in bed adopting certain position , otherwise they might come off. I phoned customer service to report this issue, the guy was so rude, he told me it's not for everybody , he can't help.other issue the connectivity is so bad. Every time I move my ear it stops.

EQ settings can be adjusted on Android. I know my Galaxy's do.

Honestly Sounpeats is killing it with the Capsule 3 pro's and also the Opera 3 & 5 all under $100...$400 is absurd!

Im really torn. Ive been using the Bose QCIIs since theh cane out. Reslly wanted the top tier NC fkr work. But my ober ears are the B&W PX8. Ive neem wanting a pair of ear buds that can get me thag sound quality. I understand that means sacraficing ANC a little. Im really torn between the PI7 S2, the Denon Perl Pro (the uodate Nura 2 pro), and the B&O Beoplay EX. I cant make my damn mind up because theg all seem to kimd of tie on rhe pros and cons list. 😅
