I don't know whats worse the attackers in the comment section or the responses that try to defend. if you bowfish you need to be educated on every aspect of the sport especially when being attacked by outsiders. In this poorly shot video the shooters bows are both "PSE waves" and they are to much bow for both shooters. As you watch you can see their form is terrible and to much weight for the youngster. Lighting a bowfishing boat with lightbars is also a terrible choice. 7C's needs to research "kelvin" and the correct color of light for optimum light penetration. a light set-up that is evenly spread without dark spots will greatly increase visibility as well. TO THE HATERS: No carp or alligator gar where shot on this video! there where 2 small mouth buffalo (witch are not carp but are good eating and can not be caught with typical rod and reel.) and a few avg. size needle-nose or long-nose gar. long-nose gar can grow up to 60" and 30lbs, however that is very rare, a avg. size long-nose would be around 20-30" in length. gar size is based on population and diet. there is no way to tell for sure but since all the gar in the video were the same size I think it would be safe to say that this environment is probably loaded with gar of this size and they will never get any bigger. there are 4 types of gar long-nose, short-nose, spotted gar, and alligator gar. Only long-nose gar where harvested in this video. I urge all of you to become more educated sportsman.
I don't have one of those fancy bows mines 55lb bow I got online but it gets the job done... I've never encountered a monster like I'd like but I usually see the needle nose or sometimes carp and it works very good... with a good shot the whole arrow sometimes goes thru but this is very fun
+20BulletProof10 try turning the bow down to 35-45 if it will do it. then find my bowfishing bow tuning video. you don't want your arrow passing thru. shooting all day or night is rough with a high poundage bow. most of us that shoot slot shoot less than 30lbs. give it a try and see if your accuracy doesn't increase. have fun
Yeah I was thinking about it but I think it's more on the small gar they aren't as thick so it goes thru sometimes... it's not hard to pull I got that no problem... and idk tho I don't really wanna mess with it but thanks I might give it a try

Exactly it's so fun... one thing tho my accuracy isn't always right I tend to aim directly at it even tho they say aim low but I'm getting it... 20lb carp is the biggest so far

shot yegua many times wasn't uncommon to shoot 50-100 in a couple hours, upgraded lights and brushed up shooting skills and you could really make a bad ads video out there
+Chuck D thank you for defending outdoorsmen, however your ignorance is more fuel for haters. there are no Alligator Gar in this video! the fish in the video are long-nosed gar. please do not refer to every gar as a alligator gar, and please become a more educated sportsman.
+Bigfoootish I think this video is a prime example of a shooter not using the proper equipment and/or the shooters not being experts of their craft. although the PSE bows they are shooting are exceptional weapons. Neither shooter shows good form, nor does it appear that either bow are properly tuned for bowfishing. I realize that the video was meant to be fun and its just fun to be out missing. but I hope this will implore others to practice your bowfishing shooting and tune your bowfishing bow!
