Oh man thank you soo much for a clean non swearing, cussing, blasphemy or disrespect channel and posts. This is a truly a breath of fresh air and I salute you. Thank you for sharing. Take care and God Bless you and your family brother. 🧡
There are several out there that all look identical one is the mini striker I bout mine on a bid on EBay for $245.00 clams came with three practice bolts and my wife loved it so much I bought her one too there’s a reverse string model comeing out end of December that is 420 fps with a shoulder stock?? That out to be awesome but it’s getting pricey over $400
I’ve got the same thing but it’s called the mini striker you can set them side by side they look identical I’ve built my own fish arrows and mounted my reel under neath the barrel and mounted a kill light on the front
Yeah I got one of them too. I like the idea of putting a light on the front bowfishing is a little easier at night. Lol it's just more difficult to video.
Great video, buddy! Greetings to you from Siberia. I am also passionate about crossbowfishing, it's a great hobby, dude! Here, we mostly catch carp, and I've managed to shoot some good crucian carps a couple of times. Good luck to you, you shoot great!
So what different sights have you used while bowfishing with these crossbows? Do laser sights work? How well can you spot fish through the red dot sight? Any open sights you can recommend?
I've tried a laser but I couldn't see it at all with the sun high and I need the sun to see into the water. I've also used a couple different red dots. The ones that come with the bat and the Striker both worked fine. It may have made it a little more difficult to see the fish but it wasn't a problem.
I’ve been watching these videos all night after a whole day of mullet fishing with no luck. I live in Florida where unfortunately many good fishing places can flood and be useless all summer, especially when it comes to mullet fishing. I really want 1 of these for when the mullet won’t bite. When it floods, they arrive in the rivers late and never really fan out a place to live and feed. So then you almost can’t catch them. So anyway this really has my attention. Also it looks like you were catching carp and keeping it? Were you eating them?
These were Smallmouth Buffalo. I do eat carp though I really like them! Sometime I burry the Buffalo under my oak trees or in my wife's flower garden other times we eat them, never the carp I eat those every time!
@@TheWaterSwatters hot dang! I got a little carried away with my mullet story and didn’t ask the most important question lol what setup do I need accessories and all? For mullet fishing in freshwater when they mullet are near the top between the very top of the water and the grass?
So I have been looking into one these units. My questions is this, what is the country of origin? I cannot find any information on the company's origins, not even their website states where they are from that I could find.
I like using the forward limb bow for fishing and the reverse limb bow to hunt with. I just use a zebco reel with braided line. I get all my equipment from William Tell Archery Supplies these days, or Amazon.
Yes the first deer I shot with one of these pistol crossbows had 120lb limbs, but they need to be close. I recommend within 10 yards mostly because the bolt is moving slow and they'll move prior to impact. I also suggest a good sharp cut on contact broadhead. The deer I shot was at 7 yards and I made a bad shot that dropped it. I was able to get a second shot off that done the trick. The 150lb limbs and reverse limb bows are much better for hunting deer. I've shot 4 other deer with these. If you're interested I have hunting videos up.
The lack of full penetration on 2 out of the 3 shots really says that, even with the 150 pound limbs, it's not really the right thing for bowfishing. It should be getting full penetration on every shot. Maybe it was just because you were taking it too far out. Closer shots might be better.
@@TheWaterSwatters Interesting. I looked, but they're currently out of stock on those fishing arrows you're talking about. You know how their Min Strikers compare to the Ballista Bat? They seem very similar. I have an older, discontinued crossbow from William Tell. It's their old Vulture. If I ever need a replacement cable for it, I'm not sure if they have one to fit it anymore.
@@halfcirclehranch6877 They're the same bow branded and sold by different companies. I do all my business with William Tell Archery these days. I get along well with the owners.
I’ve tried and sent all was denied through RU-vid ???? Was on my email adress not found I’ve made a bracket to mount my pro1840 camera I’d like to do a build of mine and demo it in use like your channel there’s a lot of technical hope for me
Question the balista bat and the mini striker look identical but on your channel you said the balista bay had 150 lbs limbs ?? And I’m not sure of what the mini striker is ?
I own one of these bows here UK. I have been waiting for you to go deer hunting with it. I would not part with mine, powerful and quiet in action. Great shooting bruv, look forward to the hunt. Best of luck..
