“Bowhunting fallow deer in the rut is a such spectacle and complete overhaul of the senses.
Visually these deer are such a sight to behold, the way that they posture one another and traverse the difficult rocky terrain.
Their intense and constant croaking can be heard for miles travelling across distant gullies only to be broken by the shattering of antlers clashing together as bucks fight for in season does.
Multiply this by the sheer magnitude of hundreds of animals interacting on a Lek within close proximity and the amplitude of rut activity is phenomenal.
