Thank you, glad you enjoyed. Yeah he was a little bit, unfortunately the long dry grass was super noisy and difficult to navigate but with a bit of patience and keeping the wind right we managed to get it done. Was such a memorable hunt, certainly up there on the bucket list for the old boy!

Thanks Chris, glad you enjoyed. The NT or Top End certainly is a beautiful place and one the mind constantly wanders off to time and time again. Fingers crossed for us both that we can get back shortly. We couldn't recommend Big Country Safaris any more highly, Alex the owner / operator is a top bloke and knows the country he hunts. It was a great adventure!

Cheers! He was a big old bull and certainly a good one to take out after his prime. We took as much meat as we could manage but without means for refrigeration and a few more days in the bush were limited to what we could keep on ice.

Thanks Dave, glad you enjoyed mate. We never got a true measurement on him, but a rough hands on gauge would suggest you're in the ball park! A truly wise old animal past his prime.

Thanks Andrew, we appreciate the kind words. We are very comfortable with the concept that as hunters you can have hunted without having killed. An important distinction for us, and a concept which allows us to very easily slow down and appreciate all the little things that can just as easily be missed whilst out in the bush. Regardless of the outcome, a lot of the time the process ends up being that much sweeter and worthy.
