Lol😂 i laughed so hard when the second cut the fletchings and reading the comments as i was watching. Good times. Thanks PJ, your videos are always so helpful
Just shoot 2 different dots til they hit same in each dot... no cut fletchings. Then after it appears the same, shoot a broadhead first, then the field point at same dot.
I guess we watched different videos then. You sight bow in with field tip, broadhead hits left of field point, move rest a little left(toward broadhead), rinse and repeat until good.
Shoot broadhead first and then field point to avoid cutting the vanes of the arrow. Also, when broadhead is impacting higher or lower than the field point you going to want to move the rest a tiny bit towards the field point, say 1/16”. Now, for right and left broadhead impacts in relation to the field point you are going to want to move the rest towards the broadhead and not towards the field point.
So when you change the rest to tune the broadhead to the field point, won’t that make it not tear a bullet hole anymore? So what’s the point in paper tuning?
It's Pretty easy. If broadhead is high left from field point... move rest towards field point (lower and to the right) You just steer broadhead towards the field point
If you shoot off the shelf, then you are presumably shooting a recurve, and then that's a whole different topic. Here, we are dealing with compound bows.
Nice choice Mr. Riley. What's the gpi for those. Looking at getting a new set of arrows that I can use to hunt as well as shoot 3D. Hunter Class of course.
It generally doesn't. With the lack of adjustment with the height of the rail and very limited cam lean adjustment, its basically just sight in with broadheads and go.
With the rest it’s easiest to remember that opposites attract. If you are hitting to the right of field points you move the rest left. Also if you are hitting high with the broadheads you lower the rest ect...
There no right or wrong way some ppl move rest others move sights I’ve watched so many videos everyone will tell different if u get a good broad head an it hits dead on say u got 3 pins if they all hit dead on u don’t need to adjust anything
