Our property is extremely overpopulated with wild hogs here in Florida. We do what we can to help maintain the population with hog hunting throughout the year. Why do you shoot them in the day and wait til night to find them?

So We typically hunt in the morning or the evening. We are hunting in the evening this hunt, and we want to give them (the animal) time to pass. Walking up on an animal that isnt dead yet could cause them to get up and run somewhere else. We also have to track them down and from the time I shot which was around 5/6 pm, we wait 45 mins and go track them down, then at that time its dark. Id prefer not to track in the dark but when you hunt at morning or night, thats the way it goes. Plus I also shot two that evening. So sometimes its not that we want to wait that long, but more so we needed to. Great question. Thank you!
