15:50 I'm actually surprised that you left just the 4-pin. From what I've heard, it seems that a very common complaint with Twisters or any synthetic pin like Brunswick Max-Life (outside of the sound of the pin itself) is that if you go high, you'll likely leave a 4-9. Not one or the other, but both.

Love the wooden lane tables, gives a good atmosphere

Garland Mfg. based out of Saco, ME, has been producing plastic pins for candlepin bowling for at least 30-40 years, so this isn't a new thing for us in the candlepin world, but when they first came out, people also were like "What is this" because they sound SO much different from the old wooden candlepins, which are pretty much no longer made anymore. The synthetic resin pins last a LOT longer than the wooden pins, and candlepin as a game is pretty hard on the pins.. The whole game itself is tough. As for these, yeah they sound so different, so we'll see what happens over time if these become more adopted or not, since they're so much more durable than wooden pins and do not need to be replaced nearly as often.

Nice 😊 Always like to see centers repurpose their old wood lanes into something else usable for the center. Making them into table tops always look nice and adds character to the place.

If you ever come down south to Texas, I’ll be sure to give you plenty of recommendations for great centers throughout north and central Texas. Congrats on 1.5k subs!

So cool they made hi-top tables out of their own lanes. Great video.

Congrats on the 1.5K subs! Nice to see they preserve the old lanes into tables, I like the idea. I've never seen this kind of Twister pins you have... pretty cool! Looks like they didn't connect the strike indicator light on the masking unit. Keep the great video coming!

They used to have the working strike light a long time ago. Thanks!

Nice stroke. Good bowling. I have a Vulcan pin from 1950s, never used. It was given to me by my godmother who worked at a hotel/bowling center in Mn.

They had to have brought in a forklift to put those tables in. Four guys on a five-foot lane section and it was still back-breaking. Worth it though.

Awesome I may have smashed them pins when I bowled ABC that year

Our center was using these grey necks all the way up to last year. But since we couldn’t find anymore we had to go to the twister red rings which I’m not a fan of over the greys. The red ring breaks off compared to the grey neck color. Got cases laying around in storage.

The brick gray twisters are a rarity these days! I personally like them more than the red stripe too

Thanks! Twister pins definitely influence the pin action and sound of bowling! Not my favorite personally, but I like the variety of differences in pins. Thanks!

I normally don't like twister pins sound they make but when there up close they actually sound alot better for som reason. And I would love to see you bowl on amflite 2 wibc abc pins and the eagle pins
@PinDominator

Twisters do sound pretty neat up close interestingly. Unfortunately I do not have a case of the ABC Amflites or Eagles :(
