it’s from the obsession of trying to throw every shot to perfection. don’t get it twisted, pba bowlers are all insane on some level. same as all top tier competitors. these guys are going for a 300 every single game, and i really think they believe they can do it every time bc why wouldn’t they. swear they are lying if they don’t bowling might just be the second to golf as far as trying not to beat yourself as much as you trying to out class the challenge in front of you

Hey viewers what's the problem here? The video has 3300 views but less than 200 likes? We're trying to support these guys, we need to do better. If you're going to watch the video hit that Thumbs Up Button real quick that helps them out a lot. And to Brad and Kyle keep it up. You guys are rolling the ball real well. Listening to Norm talk about "the goal". I find that's what gives him the edge. He isn't happy just to make the "cut" or cheque out. He wants to win. Brad, I'm rooting for you man. Hope you can develop that extreme drive and mindset.

Looks like the light hits carried better, I once bowled a tourny where I needed a 250 last game to make the cut but was having trouble carriying the 10 so I played for the light hits, struck 11 out of 12 with the light hits, only non strike was a high 4 pin, shoot 279 and made the cut.

Can confirm about the "Sting". Had to prebowl in a house shot league a while back. A local pro was practicing that day for Scorpion, so the house shot was replaced with Scorpion. It went exactly how you thought it did.

He kinda has to play there, no rev rate and solid ball speed means a much straighter line. He could slow down and shape it, but his carry would be really bad

Both of you need to keep that right knee bent when you throw.. sometimes thr knee straightens and ball either hits light or slightly pulls.. just an observation

Oldest guy. Shortest guy. Skinniest guy. But his touch, his feel, and his knowledge of the game is second to none. On any given game, he can still beat guys like EJ or Jasper, who are throwing 2-3 times his rev rate. It's like watching your grandpa come down from the stands and showing you how it's done. Really a phenomenal bowler.

This is for Brad, I'll pre-empt this with I'm sure you are aware and this is just my own observation. What I've noticed is the different swing motions you make after the release of your ball, is this something you do intentionally or just something that happens. You guys are a kick to watch. I've been a bowler for over 60 years.

On shots when you need to get this far left, do you prefer using pin down asyms, or do you usually utilize a pin up asym that you just adjust for the conditions?

Hi Guys, I would like to know a couple things that I have never heard you address. These are just a couple of curious questions. 1. bowling shoes, do you have a certain brand, style, and what is on the bottom of them, it looks like the shoe that you slide with may be different than the other shoe? 2. Does the weather affect the bowling balls. I see you keep them in the back of your pickup and then take them into a warm bowling alley, do you wait for the bowling balls to warm up, or does it matter? I know these are not your typical questions. I enjoy watching your vlogs. Thank you.

Kyle.....if you were struggling with high end stuff playing deep; why would you not try something like a Hyped Hybrid and square your angles up? The RST line is still a higher end asym. Where would a ball like a Spectre fit in? Also, do you change your axis rotation when moving deeper to help create that extra angle to get the ball to go through the pins the right way? Just some thoughts to hopefully help you out.

@Brad, you didn't seem to get quite as deep as the others. Is that just a difference in rev rate and you just didn't have to / have a good look from inside of 6th arrow? Any chance you guys have a video already on the 3-step approach and playing in front of the ball return?

It feels like every time I see Jesper bowl he's throwing Urethane between 2nd and 3rd. Meanwhile everyone else is like "here are the 18 balls I'll be trying and I might bowl over 1st but I could be throwing it over the gutter. We'll see" Edit - I posted that before Brad started talking about Jesper 1/2 way through in the parking lot.

Might be a dumb question. During the step ladder finals on Fox Sports 1 tv broadcast there's a blue color on the oil pattern. Is that blue color visible to the players or is it CGI like the first down line superimposed in the NFL broadcasts?

Its the blue dye they put in the oil on the lane...basically so we can see what oil pattern they are bowling on. Hope this helps

I would like to suggest you put the standings link in the description. Not having direct access to scores (like ESPN scoreboard) I think is a huge downfall for bowling. It takes digging into the website to even find a good scoring set up.
