Good Morning Bowling Fans,
This week's vintage Bowling with Relics ball review sponsored by the Bowler's Edge Pro Shop features a gem that we salvaged from an abandoned alley in Hamilton, Ohio.
Theresa and Chris Piron at the Bowler's Edge Pro Shop did an amazing job resurrecting this Joe Kristof Yellow Dot INVADER!
This 1975 classic finally got its chance to hit the pins once again after years of punishment and exposure to the elements.
The Limited Run Yellow Dot featured a similar pancake core design to the standard Yellow Dot with a Custom Joe Kristof INVADER Series Label.
The footage we captured of this relic is now available to view here on Facebook and also on RU-vid.
Special thanks go out to Tab Boehl and Ashley Barger for letting us take the time to check out the lanes and save a few classics from going to the local landfill.

Another awesome video and an awesome find! One thing that is so cool with these older relics is being able to see exactly how the ball is rotating. Modern balls with high flare just look weird going down the lane. You can't tell where the bowler's track is. In the old days you knew Pete Weber had a high track and a ton of side roll. All you had to do to know that was watch the ball go down the lane. Vic, you have awesome ball roll and it's very fun to watch.

Wow what a great find Vic! When it comes to bowling balls not everything new is good and not everything old is bad. Past decades had their fair share of good and bad balls but you take something like a bleeder Yellow Dot, black Angle, or Columbia U-Dot and throw it up-the-boards like we did back in the day, you can still strike all day long with them

I remember my first Angle! back in 1980 not many guys could throw it to it's potential. I caught on right away and man my average got solid quick. The regular customers wanted to buy one too but at $80 bucks it was a lot more than a regular ball. We'd sell them to anybody but I would always tell the weak shooters to save their money and get something cheaper.

My first 300 at age 15 was with a blue Colombia white-dot. I ended up with the purple yellow-dot as my go to ball in the end.

Yeah it seemed to grab the dry parts of the lane with ease and had some pop in the middle . Not quite the modern day hitting power but that was expected for a 50+ year old ball.

I wish that Columbia would come out with limited edition bleeder yellow dots just updated . I think it would be cool to see a normal yellow dot vs the invader

I’m sure if they could they would, but with the way the rules are it would be banned in an instant with the bleeding resins. This rolled just like any other bleeder I have had in the past . Thanks for viewing.

The Strike at 5:44 was sick! Thank you again Vic for a wonderfully produced video on a great ball from the past. Love the music choices too. I really miss my Bleeder. Sadly it got chopped in half by a ball return...😢 But when there was friction to the right on a house shot it was the best ball in my bag. I think this would have rolled a lot better without the thumb weight drilling. But we didnt want to take a chance with it. So we just went right back into the pre-existing holes. It's was very brittle.

@@KingOfTVBowling Brittle is the word. That is why mine split in half. The metal deflector blade at the end of the ball return got stuck facing directly ahead and my Bleeder hit it dead on a full speed! Guillotine...

Ouch! My 6P YD (I think '76) has a crack near a finger hole but it hasn't grown. They're lights out on the fresh but after the oil carries down they stop hitting like mad.
