@@ThatDumbFella racing is dying because it's becoming like F1. Cars at top performance with little to no structural integrity for beating and banging. Cars are being raced to beat a clock, not an opponent. These cars are too fast here.
@@dakotamartin3490 Who cares about top speed when you only have less than 1/4 mile of acceleration. They dont have high gearing is all you are saying. The car gets to that top speed pretty damn quick. Like I said, cars are too fast for such a small track.
A person would be a fool to try and race at this track, its a demo derby that the fans and staff encourage, someone is going to get seriously hurt and listen to the fans cheer it on, Bowman Gray isnt a race track that will never host quality racing, just weekly demo derby's
Some tracks you have to bump people to get by, however, the outside was open the entire time and the fact that nobody had confidence in their car or don't care shows there isn't much brain in the field.
@Chuck Yeager Everyone was doing the same thing. And that green/black car went outside twice and lost positions. Look at the track: flat banking and narrow. It's worse than Martinsville. This track is for what you see: 1 line bump and run. Only way to pass outside is to have the fastest car. Everyone seemed close to competitive if not even.
Lead follow or get pushed out of the way that's how real racing should be I grew up there and was always fun to see them go after each other it just good old country bunkens having fun
This track is one big joke.... No viable options for passing other than "checkers or wreckers" mentality.... Most expensive demo derby racing in the country! Gotta have banked corners so passing on the outside is possible (and more impressive). Flat corners means sliding out constantly and there's only one race line, this shit is inevitable.
I don't see the attraction. I love short track RACING. I feel like a lot of money would be saved if they just set up a boxing ring there and left the racecars out of it! Has there ever been a clean pass and a good side by side battle there? This kinda stuff is all I ever see!
I have ran late model stocks here 3 times while I was going to unc drove for a team and my first race night here I was not expecting all the drama and the fans have their own section that you sit in if you like a certain driver in the nascar modified and fans fighting all night to. Well my first feature I finished 5th here and there was 7 cautions and 4 of them guys drove other guys across infield from front or back stretch through the grass to opposite stretch Infront of traffic. I have raced on very small 1)4 mile asphalt tracks that are tight and very large high banked half miles and this place you go in knowing you got a good chance of having to reclio the frame of your car after or at the least new body panels. But loudness of fans is ear pearcing standing on the track during victory or top 3 interviews loud as a sec college football game and about 5k fans a night plus. And also you gotta move ppl to pass and only track in country where speeds are slow enough to not seriously hurt you if you hit wall like alot of high banked half miles you can kill someone doing this. But wrecking the leader like that just dump him is not right at all. And I have torn up ppls cars under caution or during race for driving stupid and your stupidity causes me a totaked car or needing a clip I'm gonna make sure you need a front clip or new car
I would have done same thing.. If your so much faster and better driver then go around me, dont sit there and beat on my bumper the whole race then on last lap you take me out? Oh please beleive your shit is getting tore up to where you wont finish the race.. Respect other racers and the reason y yall are all there or get your shit tore up and maybe a ass whoopin.. Lol
@Chuck Yeager I grew up watching short track racing in NH. a third mile oval 20 minutes away, and a 1/4 mile banked oval about 45 minutes away. I fully stand by what I said. Bowman Gray rocks and I miss living near there. I have seen Ryan Preece race for the lead in the mod race at BG (100 or 200 laps, can't remember), cut a tire, and come back to battle for the lead at Bowman Gray and finish first. Ultimately, they claimed he jumped the start and penalized him so he wouldn't win. Frankly, that was more a "southern boys vs darn Yankee" thing. It was an AMAZING race to see. AMAZING to see him come back up through at bowman gray - and NO - it was not because everyone else wrecked out.
i would have parked both for the year thats not racing thats plain stupid and dangerous the fact nascar is part owner and puts up with this every week is beyond me this isnt racing
They’re not going to park them! They’ll probably get some under the table money from the promoter to be sure they’ll be repaired and back next week when those 10,000 fans come back to see the sequel! This place is a gold mine, and it’s because of endless incidents like this that the fans LOVE! It’s not politically correct by any means, but it sure is action packed! All the naysayers that have never been to BGS would sing a different song after attending a night of racing there on a hot, humid, preferably full moon summer night!
Nicky DeGirolamo Thank You AJ LEE I am a paige namoi guy , +1 I'm for bumppin but that road rage shit and the track has to stop, If I was marshall at the track the who backed into him he'd be done for the year and not even allowed to set foot on the track for a year !
I mean banned from Motorsports period. What happend a kid has a tantrum at walmart this guy will punch a kid and crap god only knows what happens if someone cuts this guy off on the road..............this has got to stop !
Those fans don't like real racing, they just like WWE with cars.....about the most worthless track ever built....why build a track you can never pass on.
