Bowser's castle from Super Mario World is among one of the most remixed and covered VG songs of all time. It has been done in almost every style including trance, techno, rock, symphonic, and I'm pretty sure I even heard a Rap version once.
However, the most appealing versions I've heard of the song were done in the style of heavy metal, so I bring to you now three versions of the song put together as one.

James here on my alt account. Nah son. Nothing compares to this. Infinite nostalgia. This is one of those songs (the Tonindo one) that shaped my taste in music growing up. Made me realize my tastes lie in epic metal shit like Wintersun, Xerath and Irreversible Mechanism haha

I think I might know what you're talking about actually. I remember hearing it in a SoulCalibut IV video with Mario and Luigi creations fighting each other. I also remember the quality being too poor to read the song name in the corner so I didn't know what to search for.
