I think Kamek does care for Bowser a lot, he's just raising Bowser by the norms of what an ideal Koopa king should be. There's a reason Bowser has such loyalty from his army, it's because to them, he represents strength and charisma, not brutality and selfishness. As the Paper Mario and Mario & Luigi games have shown us, there are plenty of Koopas, Goombas, etc. who have defected from Bowsers army, because they don't like his type of leadership. Meaning Koopas CAN freely defect from the army if they so choose. So obviously, seeing as most of them stay and in fact think quite highly of Bowser, shows that Kamek did everything "right" when raising Bowser, seeing as most Koopas are happy with their leader, and thus also with Kameks parenting. Kamek isn't a bad parent, he's just a part of a larger system that glorifies bullies like Bowser.

I love Bowser back stories or theories. These videos are cool and fun to watch. I simply think this: Koopa is derived from the Japanese word 'Kappa' meaning 'turtle people' and turtles can live for several years. And I mean hundreds. Bowser is actually rather young. Bowser is still very young. He's fully grown. But I also think the Power Stars keep Bowser going and they keep him safe. That's why he always gets back up. And gets back to it. Bowser is rich, has a huge army, airships, been to space, plays sports, and so on. I don't think he's crazy. He's just the perfect adversary. Not to mention Mario and Bowser have teamed up a few times. So I can say that they get along when the time and place calls it.

I always have respect for Bowser, he's my top favorite video game villain. I gotta admit this video was pretty interesting, not bad at all. For long as I'm alive, Bowser will never fade from my childhood memories. Long live Bowser, the undisputed King of the Koopas.

I am simultaneously happy and sad at the same time right now: Sad because I can't subscribe twice, and Happy because of how legit this installment of "The Story You Never Knew" sounds to me. [Warning: long explication that is just the fan theory relating to Bowser's Origins] I spent the last 2 or 3 years believing the idea that the reason Kamek was always by Bowser's side was because Bowser lost his parents, most likely around birth. And I had come to the conclusion that Kamek is the would be Guardian of Bowser because the protection of Bowser was the previous Koopa King's final command to Kamek; though the gap that this theory had was that it didn't truly explain just who or what killed Bowser's Parents. Yet now, I might have the final piece to realize the full truth of Bowser's tragic past. Between this video and MatPat's similar theory on Bowser; I think we now know the full backstory of King Bowser Koopa. Bowser lost his parents to some unexplained cause as an infant (Kamek might be this mystery cause), and was raised by Kamek for some unexplained reason other than Kamek wishes to please Bowser. Bowser grew up with out a true Parental figure or any real Love, and this resulted in his character developing into what it is and him aiming to further expand his Rule. Though the pain of growing up without a Parent still hurts Bowser to this day, and he wouldn't want to force that kind of fate upon anyone except for maybe his biggest enemy (The Mario Bros). This explains why he supposedly adopts the Koopalings and treats them as high-ups in his army; because he wouldn't want the koopalings to grow up without anyone they can really call family. And this also explains the biggest character developing moment in the entire Mario series where Bowser and his biological son have a bonding moment and there is a true father son love between them that Bowser and Kamek never came close to having. And while the mystery behind Bowser Jr.'s missing mother still is yet to be (legitimately) explained; The idea that Bowser's parents' games were ended by Kamek could mean that Kamek tried to off both of Bowser Jr.'s Parents and repeat the cycle again and again until Kamek has complete control over the entire Koopa empire, and the plan partly failed and only caused the disappearance of the Koopa Queen. Though if Bowser was originally kidnapping Peach with the intent of forcing her to marry him; it raises the question as to why Bowser is still kidnapping Peach even after it is clear that Bowser had given up on the idea that Peach would ever marry him (As proven by the fact that Bowser Jr. is Bowser's biological son). The likely reason is that Kamek wants Bowser's kingdom to grow by taking control of the Mushroom Kingdom by taking control of Peach in order to expand the reach of Bowser's control (and Kamek's control by extent). Though there is a flaw in this theory in how Kamek could have easily left Bowser to die on multiple occasions in recent years (The final boss battles in New Super Mario Bros. Wii being the first that comes to mind). Maybe Kamek still wants to use Bowser for as long as he can until Mario and Luigi are out of the Picture. The point of all this is; This video here has raised some big questions to Kamek's loyalty to the royal Koopa line, and even as to his true motivations and plans as to what his end goal for the Mushroom and Koopa kingdoms is. Are these ideas all just silly fan theories that are the fans' attempt at building on the limited lore of the Mario Universe? Or is there some truth hidden here? Only time will tell if these dark secrets of the Koopa Kingdom will ever come to light; or remain in the shadow of obscurity.

What are you suggesting... Kamek killed bowser's parents to gain in on the fortune? Well, he's certainley going to be fed to the wall of flesh either way.

I always thought that the Gumbas and Koopas were the original inhabitants of the Mushroom Kingdom until the Toads came along and drove them out and went to Bowser for help and protection

I always thought that Kammek (or however it's spelled) was an adviser to the Old King Koopa, Bowser's father. As for Kammek killing the old king, I kinda doubt it. He's to spineless to pull off something like that, and even if he did somebody was bound to have gotten suspicious, but have you noticed something odd about Bowser being an orphan? If you played Partner's in Time, you'll notice that Peach is ALSO AN ORPHAN! King and Queen Toadstool are nowhere to be found! And (just follow me on this) Bowser has Goomba's working in his castle at the time, and seeing as the Goomba's are described as traitors to the Mushroom Kingdom (sidenote: Toads and Goombas are related species, MatPat was wrong), the noted betrayal musta happened before any of Bowser's main series appearances. I believe that, in a sick twist of irony, Bowser's parents and Peach's parents killed each other in a war, a war started when the Goomba's betrayed the Mushroom Kingdom after years of being looked down upon (literally) by their Toad cousins.

If kamek didnt exist, neither would Bowser. Kamek is the reason Bowser gets revived at the end of most games. In NSMBU for example, when Bowser falls into lava, Bowser Jr. brings Kamek and points where Bowser is, and then Kamek revives him. This means that it isnt the first time this has happened, since Jr. and Kamek didn't hesitate on what to do

Assuming that Baby Bowser from the early Mario Party games is Bowser Jr (since Bowser is already there, it can't be his young self), that would explain why he would sometimes, albeit rarely, do good deeds for the players despite being instructed to wreck havoc - he was raised by a loving father, so he is more emotionally stable and compassionate. Perhaps peace between the Bowser family and the rest of the kingdom would occur after a few more generations? Though they seem to be, it hasn't been confirmed whether Bowser Jr and MP's Baby Bowser are the same person, so I could be plain wrong.

This is a pretty interesting video that shows who the real problem is in the Mushroom Kingdom. I always felt like that there's something sinister regarding Kamek; however, my personal theory is that Kamek actually created Bowser as a kind of twisted experimental weapon to take over the Mushroom Kingdom. Unfortunately, his impure motives and how much of a pushover he actually is resulted in his downfall.

Can't wait to see the game where Mario and Peach are both missing, and Bowser's like: Oh Hell no! I'm the only one who messes with these two!

But what about how Bowser is really the hero? In the first Mario game, the manual states that Goombas are citizens of the Mushroom Kingdom. However, the Goombas have turned traitorous and joined the Koopa Troop. Why would they do this unless Peach is bad. I mean, why else would a whole race leave their home that is now full of Toads?
