I’m trying to decide between this bow, the cp 30 and the elite envision. I want a very stable, forgiving platform. I know you have tested all three, Which do you prefer for hunting only that holds the best and most forgiving? Also, is the set or deadlock system better? Thanks
All are great bows, but for the best hold the SS34 is going to be your best choice because of the longer ATA and longer riser. I have had good results with both the deadlock and SET, but I prefer the deadlock personally. Both make it very quick and simple to tune.
I recently shot an SS34 at my local pro shop with 70lbs limbs, but the limb bolts were not bottomed out and it was on the comfort setting. I too have a recurring shoulder injury which prevents me from shooting my previous bow to its full potential, but I'm still to proud to shoot less than 70lbs limbs. I found the SS34 to have a very comfortable draw and I am relieved I can continue archery. I expressed interest and my local pro shop said they would give me a call when they have more in stock. Hey buddy, bought the same bow, sweet. My first bowtech. Switch from mathews based on your channel.. I am getting some serving separation bottom and top cam. Contacted bowtech, sending me new strings to my local archery shop. What did you do when this happened and can you recommend a good custom strings that would help this. Thanks
I have noticed serving separation on other deadlock cam bows as well, but custom strings have resolved it. I would look at tuning first. Some guys have moved their centershot past 13/16 and then adjusted the deadlock. I would look at GAS strings, but make sure they use the same thread count as the factory strings.
This is probably my all-time favorite I had bought their target boat last year the 38 and I didn't realize just how amazing they're drawing was I actually am getting rid of my PSE edl 34 because I just bought that 34 BowTech SS the best absolute bow I probably ever put in my hand only thing that sucks about it one thing and that's their strings and cables I changed them put my strings and cables on there and at my 20-yard pin I gained over a foot of height with my arrow and that's a 550 grain Arrow so that should tell you that you know there's strings and cables are really stretching matter of fact when I got it it was only pulling 68 lbs so I put three twists in each cable got it up to 72 73 pounds checked in a few days later and was back down to 70 so that's a lot of stretch
Thank you for your comment! Bowtech makes amazing bows, but I will look at the strings and see if I am getting the same stretch. I always turn the 70 lb. bows down to 60 lbs so I don't notice when it's not making peak weight. What string material are you using? Thanks!
I’m gonna try to shoot this bow but from what I’ve seen I think I’m on a really want it. Sucks but I’ve heard their strings/cables aren’t that good. Gonna go catfish custom or archeryshack strings, Jeremy’s built a few sets for me and they hold up well but I keep hearing about this catfish custom.
@@michaelschnitzer4054 I had issues with serving separation on the cables on previous models, but they've addressed that with the new cam on the SS34 and CP30. Other than that, their strings have held up well.
I like them both, but they are two completely different bows. The SR350 will feel a little smaller because of it's shorter riser but will have a much more aggressive cam. The draw is still smooth but there will be a dump into the valley and you will have to push the arrow forward to let down. Go shoot both of them and see which bow fits you the best! Thanks!
