A wee bit embarrassed at my attempt to conflate knitting with one inch punches. 🤪The pry-bar approach to language. Subtle as a brick. 😂 Look forward to the video of your Xmas barn party: the quartet, the roasting chestnuts.. Best wishes to ye both. Mark
Did you ever consider suspended beams? I did a suspended beam for a garage loft once. It was just a stabilizing setup to prevent beam sagging but also to allow the cars to pull in under it... Great looking deck you have there. Man... I love building with wood... and I love watching you build stuff.
I thought about it quite a bit but didn't find one second hand around here. A beam like that would be great ... less chance of smashing into the supports!
Love the mezzanine. Gotta be honest, I fear those three bottom risers. Oh Melissa...I ran the hopper a few times when I was a kid, for my dad who was up in the attic of whatever house we were insulating. I vowed at age 17 to never have anything to do with blowing in insulation again. One of the most solid vows I've ever made, turns out.
Enjoyed the video. I have been an avid watcher and supporter of your big elaborate box barn. So, let me know when the Grand Opening/Christening party is and I'll try and make it.🎄🎅☃🎉
Great video as always I know I don’t come on time every single one but I am watching love the content Merry Christmas Spencer and Melissa Hope you have a good Christmas and a happy New Year.
It's been about 2 years and while I still don't take one out on every job, when I do need one it's a real game changer. Equipment always means more trips and maintenance and all of that, but they can be a huge time saver and even make things possible that otherwise aren't. So you know how it is: there are a lot of different ways to go in terms of equipment purchases. But for the kinds of work I do they're great machines
@@metaspencer Thank you for taking the time to reply. Last year I climbed everything. For cleanup I had a small flatbed trailer. So this year I am getting a 3500 truck and a dump. I am not yet at the point of a mini skid but am looking around for next mid season. I see boxers here in MN for 10k. I may go that route and get a bobcat at a future date. Love your videos. Stay safe !
@@purryegbert8609 sounds like you're moving along and doing good stuff! I've seen some guys max out on debt early on with a bucket truck, chipper, etc ... I like your approach much better as you seem to be feeling things out and seeing how and when to grow. I started out with a flatbed trailer and got a lot done, but the single best equipment purchase I made was getting that dump trailer. Hang in man!
🐾❤️🌲 It looks amazing. Well done! Always a joy to watch. I enjoyed Melissa’s “it’s like house yoga” and her beating the insulation. What a tough job Congrats to you both on a wonderful job ⭐️
I meant to say in your last video when you did the garage door, that you should put in a loft. I see you beat me to it lol. It looks good. The cat door is a nice touch. Looking forward to seeing the progress.
WHAT,only 3k views in 2 days, Since I am an Expert, unlike you only being a Professional , I recommend more Mellisa in a white suit shots handind you your Sawzall, and more Cat tricks in your next video...,also beware of uninvited midnight visitors going thru the cat door beside kitty eating from the food bowl,,Its how I learned to scream like a girl😂❤
Opossums, foxes, skunks ... they'll all soon be lining up at the kitty bowls inside the barn. But that will make for a good video I guess: "Melissa rids boxbarn of intruders!" Anyway, thanks for checking out the project :)
Oh my goodness. You owe Melissa whatever she wants! Made me laugh so hard, then I saw she was smacking away at the insulation and stuffing it into the grinder lol. Here's the top question, though. Will Melissa snuggle with the kitties in the hangout space? Or, will the staircase scare Melissa away, even though the kitties can scamper up? Love these videos, can't wait for the overview video to rule all videos!!!
Yeah I laugh out loud every time I watch her SLAPPING those bags of insulation haha ... I mean the thing is that she had a job to do and simply TACKLED it, getting it done. So far the kitties have been coming down for pets, but I'll keep you posted if I ever witness cuddling up in the loft :)
I think I saw some measurements on your second-hand cardboard computer... This mezzanine will surely become the last trendy place for cats in the neighborhood, thank you for them 😻
