*By functional I mean you can comfortably swing or carry it **bestgym.equipment** around as one would expect of a kettlebell weight. By versatile I mean the protective coating does not prevent attaching magnetic micro-plates to increase the weight, so, for example, a 35 pound kettlebell can be increased by up to 5 pounds in weight or possibly a bit more by attaching magnetic micro-plates.*

When the kettlebells come out of the mold at the forge, they aren’t this pretty, and still have mold marks; raised metal sections. These highly experience kettlebell lifters smooth and clean up each bell by hand to their exacting standards, and then they personally blast them to this beautiful finish.

I've seen those kettlebells with the grooves in them for the forearms and almost got them a while back when I first started because of the arm pain. I think they were just too expensive at the time. Now I "know" what I'm doing and don't have any issues, but this design seems nice, especially for new people.

Wow what a beautiful kettlebell. Also I agree with the kettlebells being made with 2kg increments. Some experts say n claim we need to go from 16 then 24kg but it's unreasonable. More people can enjoy kettlebells when you can access a Wright that is suitable. Also some experts are almost elitists about kettlebells. Not necessary. Thanks. I'm gonna see how I can get some.

This is awesome. I was eyeing the Rogue Competition KBs when I happened on this video. I thought the indentations on the Rogue Comp would help some of my complaints about other KB, both competition and hard style (I follow pseudo-Crossfit style concurrent training but I have both hard style and comp KBs...I like them both). I've never seen an in depth review of the Rogue Comp KBs but @Mark Wildman I think you're comment in this video told me everything I need to know (since I've never actually laid hands on one). You're reaction to picking up and brief handling of the Pro Kettlebell also says a lot from someone who knows KBs far better than most. Made in USA! Take my money! Only complaint is the price but for all this...I'll save up. @Pro Kettlebell Workouts...looking forward to trying your product and thank you for bringing two things...innovation and USA made.

In my limited experience of basic kettlebell practice, the primary benefit of what you are calling "grooves" (spherical sections?) is taking a lot of pain out of the Snatch. The people reading this Comments have no need of my explanation, but I will set out as possibly helpful: the flat section lies flat against the forearm. For me, this makes Snatches a pleasure by distributing the impact of kettlebell onto forearm over a greater, and conforming surface. I am considering gluing on a pad over the flat sections, but this will end my chances of becoming a Russian kettlebell legend. I discovered these flat sections when I bought a Tacfit competition kettlebell. I also bought a Rogue kettlebell and I feel the Tacfit configuration is better. For fifth-floor walkup apartment setup: Wildman Athletica “Nerd Math” Kettlebell Swing Program: 12-32KG Adjustable Competition Style Kettlebell Wildman Athletica Mill/Squat Program: Adex Adjustable Club Snatches, Clean and Press, Turkish GetDown: Tacfit competition kettlebell, but since Tacfit does not have as many gradations, fill in with Pro Kettlebell

@@MarkWildman It is a minimalistic program (in the strongfirst tradition). The part that you might find interesting is the scientific motivation behind the program design and repetition structure. In a nutshell, the load and set structure varies using a random component. The movements are explosive (Viking push press, Swing, pushups, snatch) and the reps execution is 10reps EMOM or 5 reps every 30 seconds. According to the author this is an intermediate to advanced program, for an athlete that needs to incorporate strength training in a schedule that already is focussed on activity specific training.
