Hey there! Thanks very much for watching this video on the basics of graphic design! Download my FREE Guide to 6 Exercises to Learn Graphic Design in the description of this video.
First of all, you look fantastic, the dress is in perfect harmony with your skin color. The packaging design and the whole process was very informative and there was a lot to learn. Kindly make a video on communication with the client and how to share your design and artwork. I am watching your videos these days. I am learning this art and your videos are very helpful.
Can you please make videos on real estate designs? I really wanna see you creating some social media posts designs. It's really appreciated for making such interesting and beneficial videos. Thank you 💕
Wow, this is absolutely amazing! 1) Do we need that drawing E pad you’re using? 2) what program was this? 3) how would one move this to get printed for a physical copy?
Awesome work. Self taught and always been the solo designer with any company I've worked. Validating to see your design process is like watching a clone of my own. Thanks for sharing 👍
Adobe Indesign maybe a good tools for packaging design and I will download the software later and maybe it will be my first choose before I use the packaging design app.It is so happy to meet your video

@@4TheCreatives thanks Lauren. Recently subscribed to your Consistent Clients Blueprint waitlist. Will soon buy your Graphic Design Fundamentals after finishing other small courses I’ve already started. I don’t know if you remember me, I’m Luca from Italy and I wrote an email to you to which you already answered, telling you that I’m sick and tired of corporate job and want to move to freelance. I told you I want to focus on the Luxury graphic design niche, although I don’t think it is really a niche because it encompasses branding, website design, UI and everything….maybe “branding” is the niche and I can focus on branding for different companies?
These are usually provided by the manufacturer or printer unless you are creating the mold of the box yourself. There are also sites like Pacdora that can generate the die lines for you but I prefer to get it from the manufacturer via the client.
As most of the customers I deal with spend a vast amount of money on brand identity I find much of your approach would be met by a raised eyebrow. To me as a packaging CAD designer you have glossed over a fundamental element of the design. The true function. The ability to get the product from A to B undamaged. The rest is the remit of the brand agency.
Thanks for the comment. This is not about CAD design but more taking a box that is already proven to be functional by a manufacturer and putting a design on it.
Great video! Question: How do you know if the image of the orange is copyrighted, or what do you do to check for copyrights on images you find on the internet?
Very neat! I love how you showed your process. And yes! I agree sketching first give your a wider range of possibilities ! Interesting you use Adobe Indesign, I would have done on Illustrator. Do you have a reason why you prefer Indesign? Thanks and congrats on the final packaging!
Thank you! I have always done all my packaging and print projects in InDesign. I feel it is much easier to work with and it is vector based too so the type and images still show up crisply.
@@4TheCreatives ofcourse I use PS n Light room for photo editing but not familiar with Illustrator... Also here in printing industry, corel is widely used
Those are great programs but I use InDesign not Illustrator and the reason I like it for packaging is that it keeps the type vector based so it prints crisp. 😉
@@4TheCreatives thanks mam Love from India 🇮🇳 And mam please make the vdo on How beginners start RU-vid Quality content vdo on graphic designing. Thanks
Hi Lauren, this video was insightful 👍 Research is the basis of any design. It adds value & purpose for the process. I agree with you on this 🤝 I’ve worked in McKinsey not as consultant but as process associate in accounts payable. Before proceeding with any projects from the client consultants always perform a feasibility study to ensure the need & value in the project. 👉 This resonated with me Thank you so much for sharing 😎
So glad to hear you say this, Isaiah. I have run into designers saying it is too much work to try and do the research, but your experience and points backs up what I always try to make them realize. Thanks so much for sharing this 😉
Hii mam I am from India my name is Krishna and my age is 50 years i want to learn graphic design complete and want to do freelancing work from home pl help me this way❤🎉🌹🌺💖
@@4TheCreatives this answer here is what brought me to your channel. Currently have a package design I'm working on and wasn't sure how to go about creating the dieline for the box (package in which a lunch box can be shipped). The supplier (from china) only sent the dimensions (WxHxG) and that's it! On seeing this, I sent her a followup mail requesting for the dielines. hope I haven't risked sounding like a newbie. Lol
@@4TheCreatives Not really, I wanted to know how you wrapped the design around the box (the process between 8:05 to 8:30), You said, " I am gonna export it to a box maker/marker so that we may see how it looks like on the amazon shelf" which software did you export it to?
You’re welcome and I am not looking to hire designers right now but if you want to grow your design business just follow the steps I lay out on my channel
No offense you're doing awesome, BUT JUST ONE critique to hopefully make you better :)....your typeface choices aren't evoking the brand and also discards font knowledge on overall....do let me know if u feel I have some misknowledge!
Thanks for your comment. As I’ve mentioned I did their brand identity years ago and for the kitchen space it’s a bold font contrasted with a serif from the logo. Not sure what typography knowledge you’re referring to. Here’s a video I made on the subject: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CY_0J27nM0M.html
@@4TheCreatives that serif with sans serif and the serif in the logo isn't evoking the affordability or consistency part of the brand in my opinion...am I of the right mindset or not? hope u help to increase my knowledge! :)
Affordability is only one element in it. The brand is sophisticated yet affordable and the serif helps to convey the sophisticated element while the sans serif is the bold element.
