I appreciate your videos . It just opened up some doors for me. I’ve been contemplating my next move in life. My wife and I have been thinking about buying a semi truck and have someone drive it for us. With the information that we got from you, I’d rather start something that I could drive myself then transition to hiring a driver. I’m happy to see a young brother being his own boss. Stay blessed and keep the good job.
You are a wise young man. I drove a semi for 13 years as an employee. Twelve years I was owner operator. My total years in the industry is 25 years. I am burnt out with driving semi's. Once the pandemic hit. I took a course to become a freight broker, but I don't feel I learn any more than what I already knew from being a truck driver. I just gave away money. I am considering connecting with Amazon in some form. Thank you for sharing your experience with them thus far. I wish you much success in your endeavors. Be blessed.
Thank you bro!! You dont have to help us but you are !!. I been in ATL stacking 3 years to get in the box truck business, im so excited to get things going soon. Your motivation !! thank u
I read through all the comments and realize people not watching the entire video which he answer what a lot of people are asking. Great video. This is the most thorough video I've seen on this. You got a sub out of me!
I needed this video! A box truck video just fell on my lap one late night and its been in my heart and mind to pursue it ! Tax season should give me 20k in return, and thats how i plan on starting my business as well! You made your money back within the first month ! I seen all your miles are 100 and down, are you doing local runs ? Or out of state as well? Im glad this is a billion dollar industry, i want a piece of it
I was nervous to start a box truck business until I found this video. Been working for someone else since I was 12 and I’m 32 now so this a big step for me.
Scared money don’t make no money. Remember that! It’s going to be the best decision of your life just don’t give up and don’t listen to anyone around you telling you to give up.
Thank you soooo much for this. I’ve watched almost 100 videos trying to get to the basics of getting started. I was loosing my motivation because I wasn’t learning anything new. I just love the content. I’m in Columbus Oh and I have a single box truck business that I am launching this week. This video reignited my drive😁 I’m going forward with it now. I thank you! I can’t wait to learn more as I go.
@@brentmccullough335 I sure can. What stage are you at in the process? I literally documented my process in detail so I could assist others starting out.
I was about to put down my (smoke) and get a cdl when you popped up in my feed. I subscribe to a bunch of trucking channels and I wanted to say thank you for your transparency. I can currently cover the overhead you spent. I believe I'm ready.
I found a 26ft box truck with a front axle weight of 10,000 lbs and a rear axle weight of 19,000 lbs. does that require a CDL, and will it be considered as a 26,000 pounds box truck. I don’t understand the weight measurement.
As a cdl driver I'm kinda tired of the long haul this is something I am considering doing at some point get a couple box trucks and run the business with my wife
Thank you so much for your information this is what I plan on doing when I move to Tennessee you’re not that far away from me me and my son and like you we wanna scale it
You're a blessing. Thanks brother! My spouse and I have been leaning towards the box trucking industry. We're located in the GA area too. Everyone that we knew that said they would give us more info about how to get started wouldn't even return our calls. I'm grateful for you dropping these gems. Blessings to you and your family.
@@pallavikalsi5276 You may wanna leave Georgia though. The area is Oversaturated. Particularly the Atlanta area. (Because for whatever reason, Everybody wants to live there) Is it really worth it???
Definitely very helpful. I've been considering starting a transportation business and, have been doing some research. Was trying to decide on either a box truck or a semi. Most of the people I know own semis and, have given me their perspective on the industry. I've talked with guys with box trucks but, they seem to be a bit reserved about giving out vital info. Inspite of that, I still gravitate more so to the box trucks because they're a little more convenient (size wise) and, seem to be in high demand so, I needed this video to help me make my decision. Thanks and much luck to you.
I have a 2002 Isuzu FTR 26’ box One owner it was my dad he’s retiring great truck automatic AC rides good you can even sleep behind the seat 12 grand roughly 360,000 miles runs strong still in use.
Awesome!!!!! From the new start up ZanWay Logistics LLC dba D & J Trucking. Thanks for being transparent, real, and very informative. You’re on your way. My wife and I are waiting on our authority to be approved and you explained a piece I omitted (The UCR & BOC3) Thanks I’m on that now!! Lol 😂
You helped out a lot. Thank you so much for your wisdom good sir. Would love a truck if you got one lol. But don’t worry I’ll make it happen. Keep them tires rollin
This was a great video! I am at a point in my life where I need to start making real money so I can start a family. I've been looking into starting a box truck business because it seems it will allow us to live the lifestyle we want(no boss/set your own schedule) and also be able to bring in boatloads of cash. I was thinking of starting something like theboxtruckcouple and involve my partner, but Amazon seems like a great option. I currently work at amazon in a fulfillment center and hate it, but working with amazon this way would be okay I guess.
I’m scared to make the next move on my own. Financially I need to be better but keep saying next year. Keep up the work my man. I miss going with my grandfather on his jobs telling me about hood (good not hood lol) customer service etc.
Dude you definitely are a blessing, I have been juggling with either hotshot or box truck, and I had no info on box trucks, no idea of how to start, thank you ever so much, like you I am in a position to purchase so I definitely will be reaching out soon,, will subscribe right now
Hey I have been a w2 employee driving these deliveries to USPS every night for the past 5 years. I am really trying to get in on this side of the business. Just filed for my business license and EIN. Mc + Dot will be coming soon. Going to be starting out business with a cargo van to get my business running to keep cost low but you are living my goal!
This is highly informative and encouraging to listen to. Listening to the video makes me want to just jump up and start the next day. I will listen to it again and start writing down the requirements needed to start the business. Thank you so much.
Very informative video brutha!! Really helped out a lot. I’m only 25, one year older than you and out of Philly and you’ve been an inspiration to me haha. Keep pushing man. I’m really looking to obtain a box truck now. I already have trucks but I just do junk removal. So I’m going to try to obtain a newer truck soon. Thanks again
uber freight and convoy run you day 1. great video. you did a great job explaining. net 7 is great. uber freight is 1 to 4 business days after you drop load.
@@ErickaWilliamsCC thank you so much for your response I’m in Cali and thinking of getting a 26’ truck and I was told no one would hire the truck due to it being a new start up
Hi DemetreusB, thanks for the great content. I am interested in buying a truck and getting into the business. Really appreciate your authenticity and real-world relevant insight. I used to live about 4 miles east of downtown Atlanta off of I-20. Stay safe and best regards,!
There is so much to Amazon relay they don’t tell you. Just the box truck industry in general. I believe you need a 5500 lb pallet Jack too. You only can really profit if you own a truck like he did. It’s like 5k/mth to rent a truck. You have to open a LLC or S-Corp, then get DOT, MC, BMC-91(filed by insurance), CA ID# (California), MCP, UCR (California), BO-3, gas, commercial insurance is like $1,500/mth like he said. It’s insane to get started.
21k isn't bad if you have it. This makes so much money,u can finance and pay it off within months as it pays for itself. I'm going to look u up on Instagram, I'm trying to get into this within 1-2mths
Thanks bro I’m a dump truck owner and I’m looking to get into another transportation opportunity. This peaked my interest so with more research I may get into this space. Much success to u bro !!!!
How much you average a month (gross and net profit) and how many miles/hours you drive a week? I'm interested in doing either hot shotting (truck or cargo van) box truck or dump truck. Thx
Working for a company as a CDL driver seems like a total rip. You doing the right thing man you're your own boss with the freedom to do as you choose. a good example of a true businessman
You're right. But if you're working under SWIFT, or Werner, you really don't have much of a choice. Especially as a Trainee Driver. When I went through SWIFT training they had me and my Homeboy sleeping in a Hotel room with 6 other men. GTFOH. Not to mention you may have a trainer who doesn't wanna drive. So for that 6 weeks of training you may be having drive the Whole time, without any help. They also have the Leverage to Fire you at ANY point. And you gotta pay that CDL training back. (Even though I quit before the BS went down) But a lot of cats had to pay that $$$ back. Especially the operation in Memphis, Tenn
Awesome information, I fix cars so I m definitely looking to get into this line of work. Me fixing the truck myself will save me money in the long haul
Great information. I'm stacking my money right now so I can purchase my truck cash. I'll be reaching out for information near the end of the year. Appreciate the information sir. Happy New Year
I concur, finding the truck is the biggest factor. Been lingering on the inventory the past month on the search, even checked into Enterprise, they’re charging the same range as Penske & Ryder.
Thank you so much for making this video. I'm looking into getting into this business in the next few months. Because supporting a family of 4 on one income is no joke. I need to do better for them and myself. Investing in myself will secure a better future for us. Thanks again!
Thank you for the info ! quick 2 questions when filling out llc paperwork what do you put in for the description of what the company will be? and do I have to be extra specific when it comes to describing what kind of things will be transported?
Question: Are you running these loads from one Amazon warehouse to another warehouse OR are you delivering to homes to customer? Also can one apply when they are one hour away from the nearest Amazon location? Like the USPS requires workers to apply within a certain zip code. Your video is excellent!
It's called "Post a truck". I go over it in this video here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-5kIdea5jsFY.html . Thank you for watching!
im in the middle of researching this box truck move and im happy im came across this !! thanks for the intel !!! is it just you by yourself or another in the truck with you? also if you had 2 trucks you could hire someone to drive the trucks for you through amazon??
Be sure to turn on post notifications. I'm going to attempt to upload every other day; you don't want to miss this content. THE BOX TRUCK GAME IS REAL! Apply for Amazon Relay here: relay.amazon.com
My bro I really appreciate the knowledge I'm in process starting with Amazon soon. I really need the insight. I will DM you about finding a truck if that's cool. I'm out of Texas!
@@demetreusb Im in San Antonio.. Box trucks are high here but probably cheeper than there.. Id like to put a couple box and Big trucks on with Amazon asap..
