Great video! Audio was a little quite but still super engaging. I loved the little animation of vulkan knocking opengl away near the start 😂 Keen to see the next vid
@@letmedevplease you will, you explain very good and talk about a topic with big expectation, voxels, also your first devlog is closer to the 6th devlog of others xd
Hey, first of all what an impressive vid! I'm working on my bachelor's final year project which is about voxel rendering techniques. Thanks a lot for sharing your thoughts in the video, I was also struggling to make the Raytracing pipeline work efficiently as of now, so I'll try rolling my own. Do you have any resources that have guided you? Looking forward to see you develop!
Hey there, thanks a lot for the comment! you can take a look at the GigaVoxels paper from a few years ago, its full of very cool infos that will help you structure your algorithms efficiently with the data structures you want to use to render your voxels. On my End I'm using SVOs as a base and I then heavily modified the structure and the rendering algorithm
@@letmedevplease i thought i commented also your other video but i can’t see my comment,l so i’llwrote it here: I saw that you mentioned another creator, have you checked also voxelbee’s videos?”
@@letmedevplease maybe use a sound meter next time so that I don't have to choose between "feeling like I'm listening to dialogue in a marvel movie" and "ears blown out by intro music" :) (for context: marvel movies (in)famously have nearly-inaudible dialogue)
