The fuelling, electronic suspension, torque, balance more than make up for the weight. I have a r1250r much better than my previous GSX S 1000f. Spot on review.
Best video I've seen so far on these 2 models ! Best explanations on the differences between these bmw's. Other RU-vid's reviewers botched the job just saying that the RS was the same bike but with a half fairing, but apparently it is more subtle than that... And props to the reviewer for his perfect English ! 😉 (My preferences goes to the RS too)
Great review. I have never seen one of your reviews previously, your skill with the English language surpasses many who live here in the US. Well done!
What a great review. I have the RS and recently did the handlebar conversion. For me, the bike just feels more agile and responsive as a result and is also a little more comfortable.
@danrizzotti978 it raises the bars up and back. It's more comfortable, but I think you can achieve that with bar risers on the standard setup. I think it looks better
I have an 2022 RS with bar risers, which really improved maneuvering and, compared to staight bars, I think maintains the bike's aesthetics. What a beast of a bike, though. It's a fantastic sports tourer. I also put on Leo Vince slipon exhaust so it looks better than the mismatched stainless steel exhaust and sounds just a bit more sporty now too.
i have both bikes and there is almost no difference in the handling - he may have had different tyres on their two bikes, (which has an effect ) or just thought they were different because the RS has clip ons and the R has bars ...
@@oldvaliantdepends on how tall you are and you can adjust the screen. I leave it in the lowest position at 5’10” unless it’s a super windy day and all is good on the RS
Absolutely very high Quality motorcycles!!!, Truly love The Amazing BMW motorcycles!!!, My favorite one of these two Amazing Beasts it's The Spectacular R1250R!!!, Great explanation and video as well, Thanks for sharing!!!
Thanks for the review. Very interested to hear your opinion about the wind buffet issue on the RS. I tested the bike recently and the wind buffet and noise was quite unbearable. Would be great to hear opinions from other owners here also. Many thanks
i have one and it very much depends on your height. Im 6ft and get no helmet buffering with the stock screen in the low position. I also have another taller screen which gives significant buffeting in the low position , but not in the high position...
Different styles bikes with same engine. The r12 is a retro styled modern classic and the rs is a sport tourer. Different tuning as well with the rs having more HP and torque.
I have a R1200RS having had a K1200S before this , coming off 170bhp to ‘only’ 125bhp wasn’t such a big drop in the real world and the bike has more than enough to keep up with friends on sports bikes whilst out for a ride yet is comfortable for touring , shaft drive etc with all the bmw extras like gear assist, electronic adjust suspension and I can’t see any reason to upgrade for the 1250 simply to gain 10bhp in the higher revs or the ‘tft’ screen … great bike but I’m more than happy with my older dinosaur ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-YvIoBemdgxc.htmlsi=2c8csvYOXsQJM1Wv
@@VivianThompsonHad a Z900RS in 2019, kinda missed it (or so I though), so sold the BMW to get the Z900RS SE (yellow ball). Great bike, but it's nothing like the bmw.
