No, it’s very common to find them in the creeks. Heavy rain moves stuff around or washes them out of the banks. Give it a try

Not all rocks that end up in creeks get timbled or worn by the creek. There are no absolutes in that department, as there are none in any other aspects of life. Sometimes they get stained up and worn by the water and other rocks, sometimes they don't, nothing strange about that at all.
Big rivers on the other hand will wear them down eventually so much that it's just the shape left. Smooths out the flake scars. Same with beaches/ocean waves.

@@RiverRat00 that may be the case in some instances, other instances not though. The rivers where I'm at , sand and clay banks, they don't wear the artifacts down at all whatsoever. Quite the contrary actually, they remain extremely well preserved because of the sand and lack of of rock. Points from the river where I'm at are some of the better preserves artifacts you'll find. I haven't found a single one off the river that was worn or weathered due to the water whatsoever.
I didn't say always. If you really want to get into it, the main factors are time underwater and the distance they travel on the bottom. I've found some killers in my BIG river and I've found very worn ones.
