best wrap style in my opinion. the trick rlly is in that alternating direction after the index finger. gives your thumb all kinds of support.

From all the wrapping tutorials I've seen THIS has to be the best!!! I've experimented myself with other varieties from what I've seen and just haven't really been able to find something I like till now. Finally a good wrap.

for me this is the second best method to tony jeffries, although i prefer to go from index to pink when going through the fingers not the other war round.

Thank you, I decided to diamond the index and middle knuckle,so i can add extra wraps on those knuckles. Those are the knuckles that make contact with bag. Awesome Tutorial, had forgotten how to wrap..

I love your method, however I'd personally do the step "3 rounds of knuckle protection" before the "inbetween the fingers" one. Otherwise they'll not be as secure and tend to irritate/slip off when training etc. Just think they'd be way more secure as that's pretty much one of the purposes of going in between the fingers. Just my personal thought though, appreciate the great videos!

I like a pad over knuckle, then three times around to hold the pad BEFORE the in-between fingers. The in-between fingers SECURE the pad. And I always wrap from the roll's bottom and going away from the thumbs. Not to the inside . 200 inches of Mexican semi-stretchable ( tied to a bottle for a week to get rid of the stretch ) plus a pad is the only way for me. Never liked those thick herringbone wraps.

Jack Ridge yeah If there is sparring or heavy bagwork I like to use a foam pad too. An extra layer of protection, makes the glove even a tighter fit

step 11 what's across the knuckle would all come loose you go between the fingers after you wrap knuckles first not good wrap method

My middle knuckles hurt and sometimes my fingers hurt it’s it the gloves or the way I’m wrapping my hands I’ve also heard it’s bruised knuckle bone I might need to stay off the bag for a few weeks

great videos, however, having a dilemma on which heavy bag I should phurchase. I have my eyes on a pro boxing, title gel, fighting sports, rival out of those which one would you say is better quality. would love a cleto reyes extra heavy bag but out of my budget.

thanks, I am going to save up for a rival heavy bag. by the way what do you think about the new cleto reyes with double padding. I been having pain on the knuckles with training cleto reyes. love the cleto reyes but was thinking of purchasing double padding or upgrading to regular cleto training in 16 oz. whats your opinion my current pair is 14 oz

While going through wrapping videos and forum posts I keep seeing people state that the open palm method is better for MMA that closed palm. Why is that?

AcotoTheTraveler I’m no MMA expert as boxing is my passion but presumably because of the grabbing that MMA fighters do and how MMA gloves are designed the clear palm technique makes more sense. I find the open palm better for boxing gloves to as I feel any part of wrap that goes across the palm is better placed supporting the rear of the hand/knuckle/wrist or the grip bar I also feel you can make a better fist with no wrap on the palm👊🏼👍🏼

Mouth piece principle is the same for gloves and other fight gear. The more you spend typically the better. You also want to consider how much your teeth and smile are worth! Are your teeth worth the 5 dollar generic sports brand or hundreds of dollars. Basically at the end the day you can't go wrong with protection as it is a good investment. Plus custom pieces are loads more comfortable then boil and bite down pieces.

I swear to god I do it the exact same way as you do and the bloody velcro is always on the wrong side, it's the most annoying thing

Some wraps are made incorrectly the other way so as you know your wraps are the opposite Just start them the opposite side down at the start and the Velcro will be correct at the end👍🏼
