good info. And of course I've been doing it wrong and now I probably have a bad patterning I'm going to have to deal with. I started pulling my left hook because it seemed to me that Marciano would throw leaning away from his hook or even leaning way left to throw his right to get more power. Then I thought I was being fancy using the dempsey roll that seems to use wide slips to generate power. But I have noticed watching Aztec Boxing saturday nights that the good fighters really stick to the left when they throw their hooks so I started questioning myself. My coach kept showing me the hook that you are now using but says things like "But do what is right for the moment". I'm going to have to do massive rep work on the bag to re-learn the hook to generate more power from my "hip and shoulder" rather than my "spine." Thank you!

There are different variations. Swaying to the right slightly is not incorrect. A lot of pros do this or stay right on the center line without much head movement. To the left is more for body hooks.

Let me break this down into a more simple explanation for beginners. When you throw your lead hook, kind of lean your head onto the shoulder of your throwing arm while you keep your eyes on your target.

I have a tip , when ur throwing your hook make sure ur wrist is not facing when u land it
