I literally stopped watching because you did not have English subtitles but I’ve come back after years and you HAVE ENGLISH VOICE OVER thank you so much coach I truly think the style you teach is the most logical and sound way
Amazing. The fact that this guy is being translated from russian and is still more able to convey the info/skill than any English speaker I have found, in RL or YT says even more about how great a teacher he is - Not everyone who knows a skill can teach, this guy is skilled and he can teach, if I lived there i'd be down to his gym in a second to sign-up. God bless.
Thank you so much for translating. I'm following A LOT of boxing channels in 3 languages and this one is definitely the best one. This coach analysed every detail and teach his art so well !
Yes he is one of the more better boxing channels for the SERIOUS amateur boxers. You can tell the stuff he goes into is some of the more subtle things that people overlook. The only problem before was that if you couldn’t understand Russian. But now he has English voice over
I love how this guy moves so jagged, sloppy looking, and unnassuming, as if he's slightly more than half drunk, yet you know that behind all that is the technique of a killer who could put you down in a split second
This is absolutely phenomenal. Thank you so much for sharing this and taking the time to dub it in english. Ive improved so much since I found Alexy, his way of explaining is amazing. I dream of someday comming to this gym and train a little.
@@MrTriple3D there are diferent ways of punching and diferent levels of Power. But to win a fight, its way more important to knwo when to punch then to use "the best technic " or the "hardest punch" or whatever.
@@mapac8866 yeah but even you know that there is no such thing as "the best technic" it's situational, i'd say knowing when to punch is just as important as knowing how to punch. equally as important as eachother.
Thank you so much for this coach. I wasn't able to put a finger on what i was doing wrong even though i was following all the fundamentals. This one tip made a considerable difference. Thanks alot.
I'm really enjoying these videos. The attention to detail reminds me of my first Boxing coach back when I lived in Barcelona: Sergio Blanco, el Maestrito. Loving this channel!
Excellent work my friend. I’ve been teaching this for a long time but it’s something that’s very hard to explain to people. Thank you. First time I’ve ever seen your videos, and I subscribed immediately.
I've been kickboxing for about 10 years. I've been trained by professional fighters and champions. It's amazing how deep BOXING is. Never heard this. Always heard the return the left hand before throwing. But, after watching this, that doesn't make sense anymore. Thanks coach. I'm going to start drilling this.
begin throw before other hand come back, shoulder and hand will guard you, throw shoulder all the way for more distance, corkscrew shoulder, upper torso rotation
Wow hes about the first coach ive seen teach on the importance of twisting your shoulders to throw these punches. (Instead of twisting your wrists as many do which should be locked in place. Turn over from the shoulder.) This gives much better power, a more solid weapon to strike with, and it lifts your shoulder up to protect your chin. Always suprised by how little i aee this taught or employed and its a pretty big thing.
Notice how he keeps his chin tucked with shoulders every time. Really good defensive technique against a counter to the chin. A typical movement of a pro boxer.
Interesting, but it is merely one way of 'doing it.' Many other trainers teach that by pulling the punch/shoulder back quickly, propels the opposite punch forward with more speed and power. Now if this vid did not include the dogmatic "why you should not" then it would be a decent vid.
Yeah I was confused at first, you get way more snappier jabs or right straight from the "pulling" method, and the switching part of the two punches "trading" places is messing up your rhythm. I guess it works in his boxing system only and not the one that involves way more lower body mechanics than in this case.
Holy fuck you are the Jedi of boxing coaches, on you tub j have seen alot of great coaches but this is a big step up you knowledg about body movment for boxing is the best j have seen, you are my new Yoda, keep the videos comming great work!
Everyone is amazing this and amazing that and I realize this man is qualified... That said his punches always look like trash. He says some interesting things about tactics and even mechanics but his execution is garbage. I can't see how he would watch this video, look at those punches and be like "nailed it".
This dude is a clueless clown. A 1-2 is just one punch. The first punch has no power, it is only used as a counterweight for the 2nd punch, giving it exceptionally more power and speed.
Its good advice, but in the grand scheme of things this kind of stuff is not that too important. Angles, footwork in general, grit, heart and cardio is what you should focus on. Hand speed and power too of course. Guys who focus on training the minutiae of technical mastery like this will never go far in boxing. Theyre getting outangled, making their technically superior punches useless. The punches themselves are funnily enough not that important in boxing, whats important is getting into superior positions constantly t. boxer
Nope. This is one of the most important and least taught aspects of boxing. It is right there about equal importance of teaching someone how to relax throughout the punch and only stiffen the weapon upon impact. Extremely difficult to teach, but something without which you will never achieve championship level.
